Probably the best eye cream i’ve used and i’ve used alot… it’s expensive, but it does last a long time as it’s super thick and you only need a little bit. It makes your eyes look fresher, younger, smoother and gives them a subtle glow. I am only in mid thirties, so can’t really comment on long term usage i’ve only been using it a few months but i am very happy so far.
Hopefully someone finds this review at least some what useful, it’s totally honest and I paid full price for the item. I like to research before buying something, and this seemed one of the highest rated and holy grails on beauty forums for good reason.

I gave this 4 stars because yes it does have a weird kind of smell. But honestly, I don’t understand why a lot of people have such a strong opinion about it. Yes it does smell a little off, but you are only putting it around your eyes, therefore you shouldn’t even smell it. I NEVER do. I only put it around my eyes. It’s great for waking up your tired eyes in the morning. I’ve noticed a difference in the month I’ve been using it. Will be 30 this year so starting to see fine lines around my eyes. I never realized how dry the skin around the eyes can get and how that can affect the lines and wrinkles but this product takes care of that, used 2 times a day. I haven’t used a lot of Clinique products but I will keep on using them. I haven’t come across anything I haven’t liked yet. 🙂
Just my opinion –
This is a thick cream. It doesn’t go on dry skin very well. It goes on very well after I wear my eye patches and the are is moisturized and damp. If you don’t wear eye patches, maybe you could put a little dot of serum under your eyes before you put this product on. It has a slight oyster shell color which might camouflage dark circles. I don’t know if it diminishes dark circles as much as camouflages them.
Yesterday I lost my keys in 100 degree heat and was running around a large campus at noon to find them. My face was sweating in drips down my face. I had this product above and below my eyes. One of my eyes got the product on my eyeball and it felt like a hornet or scorpion sting on my eyeball. I have gotten sunscreen in my eyes before but it never felt this bad.
I experimented the next couple of days and only used this product and the same stinging occurred. I hope it doesn’t cause long term damage. And my eyes are not sensitive. I usually wear an eye sunscreen with an eye repair cream and it doesn’t sting or burn.
I don’t know what else could have caused this horrible pain. Maybe if you only put it under your eyes, you got lucky. I like product all around my eye and the day I was sweating, the product must have dripped into my eyeball. The pain lasted 2 days but stopped immediately when I stopped using the product. I wish you luck.

This is the second Clinique product I have purchased recently and I am surprised that they both are great products… the face cream has done its job and I continue to use it and I am very happy with this eye cream, which delivers on being a RICH eye cream which helps w/my puffiness and blends into my eye lids very easily without feeling too greasy. Also, because of its richness, a little goes a long way, giving you lots of product for your money!
