I am a fan of Coco & Eve as a brand. I have used other products from them so I was happy to order this shampoo for my daughter who complains about breakage and thinning. She felt the scent was too strong for her liking, even though she is not scent sensitive usually. We both thought the texture and feel of the shampoo was lovely. I like the addition of biotin and other good ingredients known to be helpful in hair health, and the exclusion of sulfates. You don’t need a a palm full of this shampoo, just a small amount is all you need for a good cleanse. It’s too early to tell if the thickening claims are true.

My husband’s hair is starting to thin with age and he wears it long and in a ponytail. He generally buys a cheap drugstore brand, but I decided to get him this Coco & Eve Boost Therapy Hair Volumizing Shampoo with Biotin, Panthenol to see if it helps. It isn’t going to stop hair loss, but I’m hoping it makes his hair thicker and healthier instead of dry and frizzy and those are ingredients which should do that. I’m not sure whether we’ll go the suggested 3 month route unless he sees noticeable improvement, but so far, so good. After a week it seems to be less frizzy–we’ll see what it looks like in a couple more weeks. You don’t have to use a lot for a good lather and he likes the minty smell. (I didn’t want to get him something that smelled perfume-y.)
Sterling –
A basic shampoo with an offputting minty scent. Fortunately, the scent does not linger, but I personally don’t care for a fragrance reminiscent of toothpaste when washing my hair. My hair did not look especially volumized or shiny afterwards. Almost $30 a bottle is a steep price for a bottle of shampoo, and this does not provide a luxe experience that would justify the price in my opinion.
Retired in Florida –
I have used this shampoo twice and was impressed both times with the volume that it gave my hair. The first time I used it on my short, naturally gray hair, I did not use any other product when blow-drying it. I got lots of volume but my hair was a little more dry than it normally is.
I usually do not use conditioner on my hair, but have it on hand – it is made for gray hair.
So the second time I used the shampoo I used the conditioner afterwards and it made a difference – a little less dry. But the volume was still there without me having to use any other hair product.
As for the scent – to me it is strong and I smell peppermint mixed with antiseptic. It kind of smelled like a doctors office with peppermint thrown in. I expected a floral or fruit scent like my other shampoos, but it does not put me off of the shampoo.
It is quite expensive for a shampoo – I am going to try and use less of it next time to see if it still performs and to make it last longer. It foams up very nicely.

The shampoo lathers up nicely and has mild a peppermint smell which is pleasant. No complaints at all and I would buy this again.

I really like this brand and liked this shampoo. It has a nice, light scent, and no added synthetic fragrance that I could see in the label. The dominant scent to me was the peppermint, but it didn’t linger. It foamed up into a really rich lather, making it really easy to make sure my scalp and hair were coated. I am not sure on the hair thinning claims, but my hair was very light after the shower and I did notice that I had more volume because my hair wasn’t weighed down.

Pretty good shampoo! I love Coco and Eve hair products, so figured I would give this a try. It has a thick, gel like texture and only a small amount is needed to fully coat my long hair. It lathers really well, makes my scalp and hair feel squeaky clean, and I felt less hair came out during washing. Its supposed to help with thinning hair, but I haven’t noticed that yet, so we will see after more use. Once dry, my hair feels soft and smooth and has less frizz and flyaways. I didn’t notice a difference with volume, but hopefully I will see change there and my curls will be fuller. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the minty scent, it’s not overpowering or anything, but I really didn’t like my hair smelling like a mint all day. I wish they had chosen a floral or sweet scent instead, which is what I usually go for. Overall it’s a good shampoo and makes my hair look and feel healthy. Can’t wait to see more results!

Nowadays, the head spa is all the rage. With upscale luxe products to cleanse, hydrate and improve. Then intertwined with massage and steam therapy. A lot of it can be mimicked at home, especially products.
This cleansing shampoo also has glimpsing elements. Unsure of how it works, but the BioVolume 128 technology increases hair thickness instantly. I did notice less shedding than my usual (upscale) shampoos. Not sure I’ll commit the 3 months, but it’s clinically proven to increase hair volume by 135%, so a third more. I did appreciate lightweight sulfate free cleansing. The Biotin and are nutrients for hair and scalp health. The scent is peppermint, so works for male or females.
Priced $28 at time of order and review, daily use of my medium length minimal volume hair will likely amount to 20-25 washes. So a month use.
