  1. SMSS

I’ll admit upfront that I hate flossing. I have very tight spaces between my teeth, so I’ve been using Glide and similar super coated flosses. And every time I flossed, my teeth hurt like crazy afterward.

I may have fibromyalgia, so I thought maybe I was just sensitive to the pain, and I wasn’t flossing regularly because of the pain, but every time I retried and went a few weeks flossing every day, the pain was still terrible. But I thought I needed coated floss because of my tight teeth.

I finally asked my dental hygienist about the pain, and she suggested I was probably flossing wrong and injuring my gums. But she wouldn’t show me the proper way to floss for some reason. Well, years ago I had a great dentist who made sure I knew how to floss (he had videos and everything), but things change, so I checked out some videos online, and it seems like I was flossing correctly. But the idea that I might be damaging my gums stuck with me.

I had seen some sort of ad/Amazon sponsored thing for this Cocofloss and had read the reviews about how it reduced flossing pain. I didn’t really believe it, but I figured it was worth a try, and if it was strawberry flavored and everyone loved it, I might as well try it. But since flossing caused pain, I bought it and didn’t use it for quite some time.

After the dental hygienist said I might be damaging my gums, I decided to finally try this floss instead of the Glide floss. Guess what?! After a week or two of regular flossing, I no longer had any pain. My best guess is that the coated floss can slide too far down too easily and cause the pain or damage, but that’s a complete guess. All I know is using this floss stopped the pain.

I use this fairly regularly now, and even if I miss a day or two, I don’t have pain when flossing. I did decide to try to use a different brand’s long-handled flosser one night (since I sometimes have hand pain), and I had lots of gum pain after that (you really don’t have control over those long-handled flossers, especially if you have tight spaces in your teeth… you would at least need a long-handled flosser where you can tension the floss if there is such a thing. Cocofloss, if you are listening, can you make those with Cocofloss in them? 🙂 )

    Cons:

    1. There really is no flavor to this floss, so I didn’t get any strawberry flavor.
    2. I have one set of really tight teeth that often shred this floss and I sometimes get a shred stuck. Then I can use that supercoated floss to try get it out if I need to, so at least that didn’t go to waste.

Having no pain and finally being able to floss regularly far outweigh both of those cons.

Give it a try. Thank you, all of you reviewers, for convincing me to buy Cocofloss.

  2. Namastesister

It’s expensive but it’s worth it because it encourages me to floss really well. It has a spongey texture that captures everything and properly cleans around the teeth. It has a lovely taste and it’s made from recycled bottles, so eco friendly in that way. I’ve tried other luxe and eco brands. Maybe silk or the charcoal waxen cotton is more eco friendly than this but none of those work as well at flossing. Other flavored brands are pleasant but thin and do not floss as well. You can’t get better than this at a premium flossing experience and the packaging is adorable too. Other flavors are great too. I like to keep the minis in my purse and the car.

  3. Cameron Price

I like the floss. The price is ridiculous… and it doesn’t taste like anything. I was going to be the assortment pack for my nieces because of the fun flavors buuut nope. Strawberry tastes like nothing. Which is fine. But don’t call it strawberry flavored if it tastes like nothing and drop the price. It’s a brand pushed by influencers that is overpriced. I would buy again on a deal but I am NOT paying full price again. I will just get glide floss lol!

  4. Syrus Seven

Recommended by my dental tech, I’m so glad I bought this product. More expensive than I anticipated, but well worth the cost. There is no other product in the same class and I’ve tried them all.

  5. Review Queen

I love the cocofloss because my hands can grip it easily and it is a thicker string than other brands. I like that it’s free of PFAs. The price does feel like a luxury but I’m willing to spend the $ because I want to floss my teeth correctly 🙃

  6. Michele Martin

My dentist turned me onto this stuff. I was terrible about flossing my teeth until I used this. It’s so different than any other floss I have used. Unlike the waxed flosses this stuff seams to have better adhesion to small particles. Stuck in your teeth. The flavors aren’t overwhelming. After use the floss kind of unbinds itself and expands.

Great stuff. Highly recommend. It’s expensive but the dentist costs more and flossing really does make a difference

  7. Catherine Lewis

I don’t hate them. I just don’t fully understand why they cost this much.

Hard to pull out of the case, not sure what the “strawberry” part is supposed to be other than the color palette, not fun if you had impacted or tight placed teeth.

Does it work? Yes, but so does the cheaper floss. The price point doesn’t validate what I’ve gotten out of it.

  8. Deborah Cooper

I always hated to floss. Not now, this floss has me wanting to floss everyday ! Love it
