This stuff is the holy grail for tired moms, newborn mamas, etc. makes you look SO AWAKE and hides all dark circles. You know it’s good when you don’t even need makeup, just this stuff and you’re golden!

  2. Stacy W

Love how this melts into my skin. Doesn’t look cakey!

i hoped this would cover my under eyes, and while it brightens them, it makes my tear troughs stand out horrifically 🙁 maybe would work for someone with slightly dark under eyes, but if you have deep set under eyes, this will make it look worse sadly. not the products fault, but i feel like i wasted 40 bucks

I really love this eye cream. I don’t use it as a standalone product, but just as a highlight or light brighter to wear with natural make up. It does not crease and layers as well under concealer as well.

This COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD Illuminating Tinted Cream has a nice texture and is very easy to use. I really love how moisturizing and lightweight it is, making my under eye area ready for makeup. It is tinted but has no coverage so I basically use it as a regular eye cream. It looks good on my light skin. Overall I like the product.

This product brightens under eye without using concealer. A little goes a long way.

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream – There’s two ways to look at this: as makeup, and as eye cream.

If you’re mainly using it for the eye cream; it is a thick emollient formula, it feels moisturizing and a good primer for makeup layer. I don’t notice any miracles on my eye bags. on my light/medium skin it is SUPER obvious. I can’t wear this without at least medium coverage foundation. It did seem to slide after a while. I’ve used more pleasant eye creams.

As makeup. See my photo- It’s surprisingly thick like a concealer in a salmon hue. Apparently it has pearlescence. First eye photo is with nothing, then with the cream, then blended, then under my tinted spf. My dark circles are worse at times and kinda vary as does the size of my baggage lol. It pumps out a lot so just the smallest pump is needed. I tapped it on with my finger and it did go on thick and was a bit hard to blend. It did settle into the fine lines under my lash line, and I noticed it again about 30 minutes after i’d finished my makeup- easily blended back in with a finger. I’d go with a good tap-on foundation/sponge since my fingers did move and thin it as I applied spf.

It’s pretty light, i’m about Light/Medium and If you’re darker than me I’m not sure how it’d look. As thin as I did; you can still see some blue dark circles but in the direct sun, my under eyes are subtly a cool shimmery pink/blue? Probably from the shimmer. I’d definitely use this with a fuller foundation over. I’m not a fan of that.

It’s expensive so Id say if you have daaaaark circles that can’t be covered with concealer, and usually do full coverage, this is a thick paste to try and blank the slate- worth trying if you have the coin. Only worth it, if it’s your color, i’d say pale/light with pink undertones would be best. If your dark circles are usually ok with concealer you have, or even mostly ok with foundation, you probably don’t need to pay this much. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends, but might gift to an aunty or mom to try.

This product did not provide good coverage and is over-rated. Too expensive while quality is lacking.
