I love these! Easy to roll hair, and easy fasten. Curl is created quickly. The sticks can be hot, so watch your fingers. The only thing I wish was different is having the 3rd size rod in the set like they used to. Really like the curl I get using these. Long lasting bouncy curl.

Expected these to be great based on the reviews but I hated them! Firstly they are rubber, so that helps the part of the hair that touches it directly stick to them – but it also makes it painful to uncurl! My fine hair was stuck to the rubber and uncurling them was painful. Secondly, when you go to try to “close” the loop, it is awkward and the whole thing just hangs on your head. Very very disappointed with these. After one try, I didn’t have it in me to even try perfecting the technique because the hair pulling due to the rubber was enough to make me not dare try again. Unfortunate because influencers seem to love these. The curls weren’t even a consistent look afterward. Fine hair beware.

These curl well, like the old version, but the dots that are supposed to grip the holes when you fasten them don’t work so they don’t stay closed. I had two that could close but the rest of them just automatically pop open, and I got burned the first couple times when I wasn’t expecting them to just spring open right away when still hot. The heat is good, makes a decent curl. What I’ve ended up needing to do is put a hair elastic on the ends of them to keep them closed.

I have baby fine hair that struggles to curl and to hold any curl that i can get.
I first used Hot Sticks years ago, as they provide a far tighter curl than hot rollers. I finally got rid of my old set several years ago after taking a remote job; I just didn’t use them much anymore.
I now have a bob that needs some curl and I can achieve the look I want with a wet set. Still, if I don’t have time (or need a good night’s sleep), setting my wet hair is not always practical. I ended up buying several different hot roller sets and a few curling irons, but none achieved the curls I remembered from these. I was so glad to find them again.
Few notes on using them: these are not instant-heat. They take about 10-15 min to get really hot, so prepare accordingly.
Leave the top on while they heat up.
The looped end stays cool, but the rest of the curler will be hot. If you work quickly, they will not burn your fingers (but I come from the generation who were used to very hot curling irons, rollers, etc. You burned your fingers or your neck, you just moved on with your day.)
Make sure your hair is completely dry and each section is tangle free. Do not get messy when rolling; you will regret it when you take these out.
Have some clips handy if you plan to roll closely to the scalp or hairline. Sticking a clip in between the skin and roller for a few minutes will save you some discomfort from the heat.
Let them cool completely before removing them. If your hair is still warm after taking them out, let it cool completely, too, before messing with the curl.
Speaking of removing them, UNROLL the curl; do not yank them out when any hair is still attached (they have little gripper nubs, so not unrolling completely will guarantee some of your hair will be yanked out.)
Lastly, because of the heat, I would never use these daily on my fine hair, but for beautiful curls when I am feeling fancy, absolutely nothing works better.

I wanted these hot curlers to work. But there were a few negatives. I burnt my fingers trying to put them in, they were just small enough that it was hard to control my hair and get the ends where they should go, and they just weren’t simple to put in as two fell out and a couple others slipped down. Some of this could get better with practice. The good points? They heat up fast, they have a good fastening device so you don’t need a clip or pin and they have a nice storage/heating container. These might be better with shorter hair. Mine is shoulder length.

Live the product. I had a similar set some 30 years ago… that finally disappeared with moves. Etc. just grew my hair long after retirement and remembered just how useful this product is.. and so glad it is still available. Makes quick hairstyles easy.

this is my second set in over 20 years!!! I just LOVE this !!

These are not instant use. Mine took at least twenty minutes to heat up. I had an old Remington twisters set that I loved that a family member threw in the garbage thinking they didn’t work. I bought these as they looked very similar to what I had and was seriously disappointed. These were very hard to hold and work with as it is just a long cylinder no ergonomic base to hold on to. It also does not keep the heat. It’s hot when you take it out and cools immediately as you are putting your hair up. I have very fine, thin hair and as I went to take my hair out it was stuck to the nubs and I mean stuck. I actually had to cut chunks of hair out of the curlers.I could tell how cheaply this was made by the way it shriveled my hair and gave it static electricity. The plastic base acted as a magnet for the hair and would not wipe clean. The cord holder on the bottom you have to practically force it open to get the cord in it. I usually love Conair but this was a hunk of junk. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I call these my “worm” rollers. I love them. They get so hot that they curl my hair so well that I need to use large clumps of hair to avoid ringlets!

Muy fácil de usar y no te maltrata el cabello, te ahorra tiempo. Todo bien!!

I had my first set of these probably 25 years ago. My hair is straight as a board and these work really well for me to curl my hair. It will keep a curl for days.
I do spray each strand with freeze it hairspray before I roll it.
    Definitely happy with the purchase!
