I buy this for my husband who has a gorgeous head of hair. He thinks he has to have this brand because it says ‘for Men’ on the can🤦♀️…. I could buy a bigger can of, name any brand, of unscented spray for way less, but whatever…. it works for him and makes him happy 😉

This is a very nice product for men. I can only compare it to the only other hairspray I have ever used which was Redken for men. The Redken is now discontinued which is why I started looking for an alternative. For men, this is very difficult because one of the main qualities we look for in hairspray is a masculine scent. I do not want my hair smelling like flowers or a bowl of fruit LOL!
The Redken hairspray bottle contained less hairspray, but I really enjoyed the masculine scent. It also seemed to thicken my hair which was very nice touch. Sadly, the Consort does not thicken hair, but it does have a nice masculine scent for men. It also holds very well and I can pass my hairbrush over my hair fairly easily. Also, unlike the Redken for men, there is much more hairspray so the bottle will last much longer. It’s a very good value.
The only negative I can think of would be calling it “extra hold” which turned out to be a little misleading. It is a strong hold and it would be fine for most people, but it’a not Consort’s strongest hold (which is what I thought it was). I think there were two or three stronger holds in the lineup. But I’m nitpicking. Other than that, I love it! It has a nice masculine scent, it holds well, you can still brush your hair with it on and it’s a very good value so I highly recommend it for guys!

However, the latest purchase is different.
Same brand, same type, but different contents.
Does not work like it used to.
They must have changed the formula or this box of 12 was mislabeled.
