It’s a fantastic product. Compared to other retinols on the market, this has only one questionable ingredient that has the potential to be an endocrine disruptor, but more science research is needed on the matter.
This is meant to be the last step in your skincare routine without a moisturizer. I tried three different moisturizers after applying this retinol, but they all pilled. I use the retinol oil as my last step, and my skin feels hydrated, so there was no need for me to apply a moisturizer afterwards.
I love that this retinol is powerful but also gentle on my skin. I experienced drying the first time I used this, but I also used it three days in a row. I learned afterward that you need to start slow, and eventually my skin barrier worked itself out. I apply this a few hours before bed so it has time to absorb into my skin. I also apply the COSRX Snail Mucin 96 essence before hand.
If you have never used retinol, I would suggest starting with their 0.1% cream and slowly building yourself up to this product.
I didn’t experience any skin purging like others have. To avoid or lessen skin purging, I’d recommend using a gentle BHA/AHA cleanser the morning before and after your retinol treatment. Adding this simple step cleared up my skin when I first started using retinol. It expedited the purging process.

If you really like retinol on your skin, you’ll probably like this. It’s a nice product, good strength, easy to apply, a little goes a long way. I think my skin just doesn’t like retinol. Makes me red and dry, even if I only use it once a week. I feel like I can’t use it often enough to get any real results. But I have this problem withh all retinol products I’ve tried, so I think this is a nice product but retinol just doesn’t play well with me.

Super moisturizing because it also contains squalene. It’s a great value for the money. I only use it at night because it is a bit oily. Within 5-7 it has absorbed. It comes in a dark glass bottle as well with a dropper which I love. I quality is amazing although I do wish they offered a stronger formula for those of us who is use to retinol. There is no smell which I love. Extremely easy to use. There’s not been a lot of peeling at all but it maybe because I need stronger. As far as results lasting results it has cleared my skin up within one week. It smooths moisturizes & plumps my skin nicely. Four stars because I need a stronger formula PLEASE COSRX

I can’t tell you any long-term effects of this because I’ve only been using it for about a month. But I can say that each time I use it, the next day my skin is extremely soft. I know some peoples skin is sensitive to this type of product, but I use it pretty liberally and I haven’t had any sort of reaction to it or anything.
