I’m a male with long hair 8″ past my shoulders with probably 2A on top and 3A curls everywhere else. Imagine Jason Mamoa’s hair with the bottom half spiral curls. I had stress-induced hair loss (maybe 30%) that’s growing back now. I was reluctantly going to cut it for this reason as it looked thin to me. This product is amazing. My hair looks as full as before. Curls are defined and I live in S. FL humidity. I don’t need a lot and I’m someone that usually uses a lot. I use 3 pea sized dollops after towels drying, sometimes a little mouse.
My hair is everywhere in the morning so the next day I just splash a little water in it, scrunch and it’s good for another day. There’s some scent, but it doesn’t bother me. I used to use leave in conditioner and mouse, but this looks much fuller, curls are defined, and my hair is soft like there was no product, just well behaved hair. Davines saved me from having to cut off a few years of growth to let the new hair catch up and look fuller. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

My salon stocks Davines hair products, this is lightweight and works well to define curls – though it needs a bit of heat from a hair dryer to fluff it up after and add bounce.

I didn’t know this product existed until my hairdresser used it on me a couple times. Between the beautiful scent and the curls, I had to get some for myself. I got a small sample bottle in December (about half the size of this one) and it’s the end of March now and it’s not even gone yet. Got this big bottle so I don’t run out. Sure, it’s expensive but a little truly goes a long way so it’ll last a long time. People complain about it being crunchy but I don’t have a problem with that if I scrunch my hair with a diffuser, which I do every day. My curls are always on point with this stuff. I’m looking forward to seeing how well it works on humid summer days.

Update: I originally thought this serum was too heavy and crunchy for my low/medium porosity 2c waves, but after some experimentation, I like it for diffusing days. If I used heat tools more often or had higher porosity hair, it might suit better.
– Pros: concentrated, medium hold, shine, softens, smooths, best used with diffuser or blow outs
– Cons: tricky to layer, no moisture, but it will weigh down hair if too much is used; , fragrance is similar to Gain detergent, but it dissipates quickly, not for air drying or day 2-3 unless using a heat to refresh
– Tips: clarify with a good shampoo like Malibu undo goo 1x/month and a cleansing lathering option at least every 10 days like Kinky Curly Come Clean, use a silicone and protein-free leave-in like Kinky Curly or Curlsmith Air Dry then apply a 1/2 pea-sized drop of the serum on sections of very damp hair, brush to distribute, style hair and diffuse or do a blowout. Finish with a tiny drop of OIl.
I mix a drop of Innersense Curl Cream to the leave-in at for extra moisture. The heat seems to activate the serum. Without heat my hair , hair was gummy within a few hours.
-Bottom line: recommended for low to medium porosity waves for a medium hold.I probably won’t repurchase. Color Wow’s blow dry serum works better with fewer drawbacks on heat tool days in my experience.

Kind of expensive, but I had high hopes, because I really like the LOVE shampoo and conditioner.
However, I’m disappointed. The finish makes my hair look a bit dull, with a crunchy texture. My main issue is the fragrance. It is overpowering, and way too perfumed.
The LOVE shampoo and conditioner has a clean, subtle fragrance that I enjoy. This curl cream smells like cheap cologne, a la cab driver.
I don’t think I can stand to smell like this, so will return and continue to hunt for a curl cream that is shiny, soft, and subtly scented.

Amazing product!! Have never had wash ‘n’ go hair until now!!! I put this incredible serum onto my wet hair and go to sleep…Perfect spirals/coils/curls on my extremely coarse, naturally curvy/curly hair. Love it!!!

this is an expensive line but in my opinion 100% worth it, leaves your curls soft not crunchy but also not frizzy and fly away dry. I use it as a base than when my hair is dry, add alittle watered down Innersense I hold gel. 100 % recommend
