I first bought this kit in July 2022 (for $15) and use them weekly to effectively scrape plaque and other gunk off dental appliances to some effect! I cannot comment on the mouth mirror but the other tools generally dig deep and penetrate the refuse well enough to finish it off by brushing. I would not use these in my mouth due to safety concerns, but with proper cleaning they have been great for appliances. Since these arrived on time, were sold at a great price and can serve as a decent introduction to dental tools, the “Dental Hygiene Kit – Calculus & Plaque Remover Dental Tool Set – Stainless Steel Tarter Scraper, Tooth Pick, Dental Scaler, and Mouth Mirror – Dentist Instrument Set for Teeth Cleaning (Blue)” by Dental Duty gets a serviceable 3/5 stars!

This is a nice set of basic dental tools. They are well made and sharp and come in a nice case. Make sure you know how to use them so you don’t damage your teeth If you purchased them to clean your dog’s teeth, you must also exercise caution so you don’t damage their teeth and gums.

Because you are not a dentist, be kind to your teeth when using them and mind the sharpness! The tools are well made and work very nicely in gentle hands. I’ve used them several times without issue and sometimes I feel like I just left the dental office.
The back is tricky. Just take your time with a mirror and with practice you’ll have success.
Don’t overdo it! See a professional regularly. Good luck!
