I’m no stranger to retinols. I’ve tried many in varying strengths. This is a 0.1% retinol which is a great starter to see how your skin responds to retinols in general and also allows your skin to build up a tolerance for stronger formulations. Like all retinols, this has a yellow hue and is a lightweight lotion consistency. LESS IS MORE with any product like this, and you should be using a pea-sized amount for your entire face to avoid peeling and drying out your skin (also do not use every night). I like to pump it on the back of my hand and then rub into sections-cheeks, forehead, and chin area. Any leftover I always rub down my neck. I really like this brand and feel that this is a high quality retinol that is stronger/better than what you can find in stores. For the amount used, this bottle will last a long time. I’m very happy with this product.

So far, I’ve been really happy! The serum itself is lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving no greasy residue. It hasn’t irritated my skin at all, which is a major win. It’s too early to see any major wrinkle reduction, but my skin does feel smoother and looks brighter overall. I especially like that this serum includes hydrating ingredients alongside the retinol. My skin can be on the dry side, and this helps keep it balanced and comfortable.

I’ve used different types of retinol and this is my first time trying this one. This is also my first time trying this brand. The serum arrived in perfect condition. It was packaged in an additional box and is 1.01fl oz in size. The serum is dispensed via a pump – and the pump works reliably. The color of the serum is a light yellow and there is no discernible fragrance. The texture is light and it absorbs quickly into the skin. I typically wear this serum at night; it layers well and I feel like it makes my skin look fresh and dewy in the morning. Given that this is a retinoid, I must mention that I have not experienced dryness or irritation using this product. However, my skin is used to retinoids so I am not sure if someone who is new to retinoids may have a different experience. Overall, a great product.

I have used prescription retinol in the past, but it was drying on my skin. This serum didn’t dry my skin out and absorbed easily into my skin. However, my skin is prone to breakouts and I started getting acne once I started using this. Unfortunately, I had to discontinue use of this product after only 3 days so I can’t say whether or not it was effective.
