This shampoo smells fruity, detangles my curls, and makes my hair soft!

This shampoo has a green apple scent to it. Very appealing. The shampoo does not lather excessively, I feel like I used slightly more shampoo than normal. While I was washing it my hair felt smooth and silky. Since my trial did not include the conditioner and I had to use my normal conditioner, I cannot evaluate how well it works. The label states that it reduces frizz by 83% when “USED AS A COLLECTION” with CurlHeights conditioner.

I have curly hair that’s about an inch past my shoulders. It’s moisture-hungry, so I have issues with some especially intensive shampoos leaving my hair ratty, due to stripping it of all its natural moisture. However, I’ve also had trouble with natural, sulfate-free shampoos leaving my hair feeling greasy, or not totally clean. I’m quite impressed with this product, since it doesn’t seem to have either of those issues! I can use it daily, to every few days without it drying out or damaging my hair, but it also doesn’t leave my hair looking oily, or weighed down. My curls look nice, and my hair has a nice amount of volume to it. I also find that my hair seems to get less tangles.

The only downside I’ve experienced with this product thus far is that because it doesn’t lather much, it feels like I need to use more product to cleanse the entirety of my scalp thoroughly. Paired with being a small amount of product, it feels like something I’d go through very quickly.

While I personally might not reorder it due to rate I go through the product, I’m highly impressed by how well it cleanses, and the benefits it has provided my curls.

I love this cleanser for my hair as a first step on hair day. I have wavy hair that doesn’t know how to behave itself, and this helps clean it, reset its wave pattern, and give it a big old boost of body. I tend to use a. Ice moisturizing conditioner after this. Hair feels clean, hydrated, ready to wave and be a voluminous joy!

I have thick, mostly wavy with some curls. Hair products I use can make it frizzy, weigh it down so it just hangs there lifeless, or poof it out.
Using this cleanser gave me mainly good results.

To start with, the cap has a really small opening. Luckily the shampoo has a thin consistency so there were no issues dispensing. It is clear, has a liquidy gel like texture, and a mild clean scent that I really like. There was not a lot of suds which I expected based on the consistency. Following the directions, I applied to and focused on the scalp. It rinsed well and completely with no residue or heavy feeling.

I don’t used the recommended conditioner to follow though. So based just on using the shampoo, I definitely had increased volume and more defined curls. I wasn’t crazy about the volume since my hair is thick. But it he next couple of uses, I noticed more body and less frizzing. My husband who has short curly hair said he noticed his hair felt softer.

I really like this cleanser. I would say if you are looking for more body, fullness, and less frizz, it’s a good option. I think for my hair, the results I got were good but don’t warrant the price point. It is a pretty small bottle overall.

Admittedly I have pretty flat and uninspiring straight hair but this shampoo is so good at boosting volume that it made even my hair airier at the roots. It also cleaned well (my scalp gets pretty oily fast) despite not making a lot of suds. There’s a nice fruity, kind of appley or apple blossom scent.

I really like using this DevaCurl CurlHeights Volume + Body Boost Cleanser on days when I plan to let my hair air dry and just scrunch my waves by hand. The lather is modest and the scent is yummy! Rinses well. My hair does end up with more body and moisture without being frizzy or oily. I haven’t tried the conditioner but haven’t really missed it, my hair is fine enough that I don’t always use conditioner anyway and don’t use any with this.

I have typically had thick, curly hair so in the past I haven’t tried volumizing products since I don’t really need them. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed changes in my hair and become more interested in trying volumizers. As a curly girl, I’m very familiar with DevaCurl products and have used them a lot; this is my first time with one intended for “fine, dry” hair however, as that has not been my issue in the past as much as it is starting to be now. Impressions: the liquid is quite thin and pours out easily; I got more in my hand than I was intending to. I liked the way it felt using it in my hair though, it felt like it spread well and coated the hair fully without creating a lot of lather (DevaCurl products are famous for being no or low lather as the ingredients that generate lather are not great for curly hair). The smell was noticeable but not overpowering, unpleasant, or particularly distinctive. The best I could describe it is a “clean soap” sort of smell. Now, the bottle says works best with the same product line’s conditioner, which I don’t have. I used my typical conditioner. I was very surprised and kind of unhappy after my shower that my hair felt noticeably drier after my shower. I wouldn’t expect that from a product like this. Perhaps with more uses things will feel different, but first impression leads me to conclude I would *not* look to this product to be particularly moisturizing for dry hair.
