I think my skin doesn’t like toners, so I had to discontinue use after a couple of days as it caused a redness flareup for me. I do have slightly sensitive skin due to age-related rosacea and some products tend to aggravate this issue, and Im starting to see a trend with toners. It seems like it may be a good product for others who don’t have this issue – it doesn’t have a scent, feels good on the skin after initial application, and probably has some benefits that would be useful for others, but probably not those with sensitive skin.

  2. Customer Review

I’m 57 with slightly dry sensitive skin. I’ve used Dr. Babar skincare before with no issues. Not sure what, but this toner made my skin angry. Burning and redness so I immediately washed it off. It seems to be good for others but I’ll have to pass on this one. Loved that it had no scent.

This toner is great. I applied it using a cotton pad, and immediately noticed a bit of a cooling sensation which felt nice. It left my skin feeling refreshed and clean, and ready for the next step in my skincare routine (moisturizer). The next morning, my skin looked hydrated. It did not have much of a scent, which I prefer when putting something on my face.

I’ve been using this toner for a month and I’m very happy with it. I still have 3/4 of a bottle left, it’s a generous amount and even though I use it morning and night I still have plenty. I see smoothing and refinement when I use this regularly. If they had an extra strength version, I might give it a try too! The product does not have a strong smell which I really appreciate. I’m 38 and I’m really happy with my skin.

So far I’m enjoying this product. I’ve been splashing just a bit on my face in the morning after I wash, instead of moisturizer which I use only in evening during the warmer months. I feel like my skin feels tighter and softer over the past few days.

The product itself is a clear liquid, with just a bit of viscosity which helps with application. There is no noticeable fragrance (always a plus in my opinion).

I found an interesting article from the Cleveland Clinic on topical niacinamide that some may find interesting, I know I did. Niacin is a B vitamin and so niacinamide is a form of that B vitamin. I never knew it had benefits when used topically but apparently there are quite a few!

I recommend this product. I just wish it had a flip top lid instead of a screw top to help me speed up my morning routine.

Whatever the opposite of sensitive skin is (insensitive skin?) I have it. I used to use astringent every night as a teenager; it is rare for me to have any adverse reactions to anything. So, I was a bit surprised that this toner by DOCTOR BABOR stung the slightest bit. The sensation didn’t last long, but I imagine for those with more sensitive skin it might burn a bit.

Having said that, I found my skin looked and feels better in the morning when I remember to apply it at night. It is not a super watery toner and has a bit of viscosity to it. Scentless and absorbs quickly. I imagine the bottle will last for a while, but it is a bit spendy.

This toner is absolutely the best toner that I have ever used! I apply it with a cotton pad. It removes makeup and oils that are still there after cleansing. It is so gentle. It does not sting or burn. I can have sensitive skin but I have no problems with this product. My skin feels so gently cleansed and hydrated. My skin is so soft after using this toner. My skin is smooth. I almost don’t need a moisturizer.

I love Doctor BABOR Renewal Toner! I never used another toner that was this good!

  8. Ashley

I really like this Doctor BABOR renewal toner. It does not have a heavy scent, which I appreciate in a product that’s going on my face. It has a very slight thickness to it which helps it stick to a cotton ball or cloth square for wiping across my face. I like that this is made in Germany and is in recyclable packaging. I did not have any redness or irritation after using this and it makes my skin feel calmer and smoother.
