This deodorant is nice. But I do feel like it has a strong Smell when you start to sweat. It’s not my favorite smell and Prefer other brands, However, it does its job and I never had a BO SMELL when wearing it

I was looking for a substitute of my favorite deodorant, Ivory. They must have stopped making it. Bummer. So, I bought this 3 pak hoping for the best. Its light scent is very nice and it glides on smooth. It lasts a good 12+ hours. Deodorant has gotten very pricey in my local stores, so I was glad to find this at a reasonable cost.

I really love Doves line of deodorants. The only reason I won’t give it 5 stars it’s due to its gel consistency. It leaves my underarms feeling sticky. Otherwise great buy, love the scent, and long lasting.

Can’t beat this deal – dollars less than my local pharmacy. For those that are concerned about aluminum, this deodorant checks all the boxes – it smells heavenly, controls sweat and odor just as well as any other, and doesn’t transfer onto clothing. Great product!

I wanted to try an aluminum free deodorant and, since I already used dove, I figured this would work. I started using it Wednesday afternoon and it comes on a bit oily (consistency) which is nice, but then it feels kind of sticky. The smell is good but it is very strong (rose is mine), so when I started to transpire and the BO overpowered the deodorant, I had a rose stinky smell. I was okay with having to reapply once. I did that yesterday, I even scrubbed my pits in the shower with apricot scrub and applied micellar water. This morning I woke up STANKEN … not stinky but STANKY. I do not like it and unfortunately I for a 3 pack because one was so much more than just buying 3.

I’ve been on the hunt for a great aluminum free deodorant for a long time. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars over the years trying out all the natural brands, even premium $30 doller jars and sticks. Some of them hold up okay, but I always hate the smell. Or they’re a nightmare to wash off in the shower. There’s always been a huge downside to each one I’ve tried.
I avoided Dove forever because I wasn’t interested in the moisturizing aspect of it. Surely an “armpit lotion” won’t work, right? I was horribly wrong and I’ve been absolutely missing out on something right in front of me all these years.
This stuff is it. I work a physical job and it holds up great. Some days I might have the *faintest* bit of BO sneaking through after a job, but it is really not noticable unless I stick my face under my arm. And as a note, I’ve never had a single deodorant pass a rough work day with no BO on me. Dove might not be 100% but it’s better than everything else I’ve tried.
And the SMELL! I’ve been trying so hard to find “my” smell. I like unisex smells that are a balanced mix of feminine and masculine. I’m not a fan of all floral, or all spicey. Most brands are extremely polarized with their scents.
I am a sucker for cotton smells so I ordered Cotton and Sandalwood to try it out. I finally found my deodorant! This scent is literally the BEST mix of feminine/masculine I have ever come across. It doesn’t lean too hard in either direction. It’s the wonderful clean smell of cotton, but the crisp smell of sandalwood at the same time, rather than one smell following the other. I adore this scent so much and I’m so happy I’ve found it!
It also washes off great in the shower! Other brands I have to scrub and scrub, two or three times, and I still have residue and scent on me. This comes off clean, and feels clean when I wear it. It isn’t gummy or thick.
I will caution people to apply it correctly though. I feel that a lot of reviewers just give a swipe or two directly over the armpit hair area. With ANY deodorant, you also need to cover 1-2″ outside the hair area in every direction as well, otherwise bacteria still pop up and creep inward, nullifying what you’ve put on. I learned this with Crystal deodorant and have applied that tactic to everything else I’ve tried, and this has worked well for me.
Finding the right deodorant is hard because everybody’s body chemistry is different. Sometimes things that smell nice before application mix with your sweat and skin and come out smelling just dreadful. For me at least, I’m sold and Dove has gained a life-long customer.

I’ve tried many aluminum-free deodorants and for the most part, they don’t work very well but there are a few exceptions. Here are the ones I’ve tried and how I liked them in rank order:
Winners – These work great for body odor:
#1 – Dove – winner by a long shot – works and applies like regular deodorant. All-weather long-lasting protection. This is so good that I can hardly believe it’s aluminum-free. Fairly priced too.
#2 – Lume – works very well but, applies like a sticky lotion. It’s also pretty pricy.
#3 – Crystal Mineral Deodorant Stone – This one always made me nervous because it never really applied and product to my skin. It worked well for quite a while and then seemed to stop. Not sure it the minerals in the stone were depleted or if it just stopped working for me. More testing would be required with a new stick.
Medium – Will do in a pinch – Works moderately well on body odor, but not as well as a regular deodorant. I’m hesitant to use these during the summer.
#3 – UnderArmed – Seems to work moderately well. A little waxy in texture but otherwise applies like normal deodorant.
#4 – Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant – comes in a 2 oz jar that is applied like lotion – didn’t care for application and only works moderately well on body odor.
#5 – Jason – applies like normal deodorant but doesn’t really do the job on body odor for very long.
SUCKS – Waste of money and doesn’t work at all
#6 Secret – Applies like normal deodorant but has almost no impact on body odor. I was stinky by the end of a cool day after working in an air-conditioned office and only walking from the office to my car (10 feet from the front door). I can’t imagine using this at the gym or during the summer.

I was looking for a deodorant the is Aluminum free, and I found Dove’s aluminum free deodorant. Deodorant is just that–it makes your underarm sweat have no odor. the Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena smells great. It goes on dry-which saves me from having to change my blouse when getting ready for the office. I LOVE this product!
It doesn’t stop the sweat, as do the anti-perspirants. I am great with that, because it was the odor that I wanted to avoid. I also think we have way too much metals and so called “safe” additives in the products we use. I wanted a cleaner product!
I highly recommend this product!
