I bought a multi-pack and this will last over a year and worked out cheaper as I use three bars to make my homemade natural as possible soap powder. I tried the lavender fragrance and they have a really beautiful aroma that is not over powering. It doesn’t transfer to the washing as much just a subtle hint.

Additional comment added on 8/29/12 – My wife pointed out that since I started using this harder soap, she has to occasionally treat the drain pipe with Liquid Plumber. (she’s very handy with knowing lots of stuff – I’d be lost without her)… anyway, she said that with the Irish Spring, she never had to do that. It appears the harder soap is congealing in the trap after the hot water has flushed the tub down after the shower, and it’s leaving a layer of scum that attaches to the trap as the last of the water cools down. It’s not a show-stopper, but it’s something I thought I should add to the review. I do remember this was a problem in my parents house too, as all soap was much harder back in those days.

I’ve been looking for a while for “all natural” ingredient soaps, and I have bought several to try out. However, when getting one bar at a time, of a product that chain stores just don’t carry (at least in my area), the prices tends to be rather high. Anyway, I hit on this one, and I really love it. The scent is pleasant, but not overpowering. It cleans really well, and most importantly, my skin has improved since using it. Interestingly, the bars last a lot longer than the commercial soap I used to buy (Irish Spring). I don’t think this is completely due to size, but also to the “hardness” of the bar. It lathers very well, but we do have a good water softener, so that does make for good lathering.
This soap is so good, I can wash my hair with it, and it feels just as good as using a good natural shampoo.

This is my first time trying Dr. Bronner’s soap. I was looking for a cruelty free soap that would be gentle on skin and get the job done. I love the soap; it’s not harsh and cleans very well. The sustainability features are important to me. I love the lavender scent and want to try the other scents as well. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Although, I’ve been a fan of Dr Bronners’ products for a while, prefer all-natural things , up until now I’ve only used their unscented (liquid) Castille soap.
I needed some bars of Castille soap for a powder laundry detergent I was making and decided to go for the Lavender ones.
As soon as I opened the first bar….OMG that smelt good! Quite strong and very very beautiful. Even mixed with other ingredients I could still smell it clearly and it was still beautiful.
Very happy with mine and glad I bought them. As a Dr Bronner’s pruduct I know it will wotk well.
LOVE how it says “All One” on each bar. It’s a reminder to me that as I work to keep my family chemical free, it does also help the environment.☺

Je les utilise pour faire “ma lessive maison”. Je trouve que ce savon sent très bon (donc la lessive aussi:) ) mais ce n’est pas entêtant comme la lessive industrielle. Mélangé à divers produits (acide citrique, bicarbonate, gros sel,….) mon linge sent le propre. Je ne l’ai jamais utilisé pour autre chose mais apparemment la marque est très réputée.
