Dr. Zenovia Skincare Peptide + Ceramide Repairing Moisturizer

This cream definitely rivals my all-time favorite – Perricone MD Cold Plasma Cream and it is half the price. I used a thin layer both in the morning and at night and it is very hydrating. If you apply any more than necessary, I found that it tends to pill up and doesn’t work under my foundation but once I found the perfect about it is my dream cream. I normally use about a pea-sized amount but I found that a bit less works best. I have super dry and sensitive skin and this lightly scented cream feels wonderful. It even works for me in winter with the heater on.

This comes in a pretty glass jar and the packaging is not safety-sealed. There is no expiration date but it should be used within 12 months of opening. It contains 50ml and I think this is made in the USA, but I am not positive.

    Highlighted Ingredients:
    – Peptide Complex: Visibly firms and tones the skin by supporting collagen production.
    – REG-ulate 360 Complex™: Restores a healthy appearance to hormonally imbalanced skin with a blend of medical-grade actives including resveratrol, vitamin E, green tea, bakuchiol, and genistein (a plant-derived phytoestrogen).
    – Bio-Equivalent Ceramides: Reinforce the skin barrier while dramatically boosting hydration.

There’s a noticeable difference in my skins health. Definitely more plump and vibrant.

  3. Quickbeam

This is a facial moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and ceramide. It has a medium weight to it and a light peach color. Very faint fruity fragrance. After my first use, I found this was not enough of a moisturizer for my skin care needs. My face was dry and ashy in about an hour. I transitioned to using this as a serum under a day cream. That worked much better. It layers well and seemed to amplify the moisturizing power of my day creams.

This might work well as a moisturizer for younger more resilient skin but for me this required additional products to support my hydration balance.

  4. Zingo

I have been using this every night for a couple of weeks. I put it over a treatment serum. It does hydrate but not any more than a basic moisturizer. I don’t see any other changes to my skin.

  5. Zingo

    Me: Crackly skin, Rosacea, Mid-40s

    Ingredients:
    19 “goodies”
    1 “superstar”
    1 “ICKY” (fragrance)

Note: It says “fragrance free” on the product page here. The bottom ingredient is “fragrance.” Since I’m finding things, it also says “alcohol free.” But I’m sure they mean those icky drying alcohols. They have “Cetearyl Alcohol,” a multi-tasking fatty alcohol that is not a drying alcohol you’d want to avoid.

    Benefits (translated from ingredient checker):
I mean, I feel like I should give you an idea, at least. But, seriously? My fingers have their limits… Ok, ready? Skin-identical ingredients: TONS of these, they help the barrier, moisturize, our skin LOVES this. A bunch of these (but not all) are ceramides. They went all out with these and made sure they’re helping the skin and its barrier in a bunch of different, lovely, science-based ways. Sodium Hyaluronate, a very popular anti-aging and moisturizing ingredient – this is the sodium form of hydraulic acid. Peptides that boost collagen. Antioxidants. Some of my favorites for rosacea: anti-microbial, soothing, anti-acne, anti-inflammatory, and healing ingredients. These are the primary things, but there are a bunch of little things it’s doing here and there. I mean, they seriously scienced this stuff.

    Pros/cons (per ME):
This has 5 ingredients with a 1-2 comedogenicity (pore clogging) rating on a scale of 0-5 (5 would be max clogging). This is relatively low, in my experience. I would expect this level for a light cream, which is how this goes on and feels, yet this moisturizes like a heavy cream. I can wear makeup shortly after using it, it blends and sinks in quickly, it’s not oily or heavy. Fragrance is the last ingredient, but as noted, it IS in there. Due to my rosacea and sensitive skin, I did have to patch test and have had no problems with irritation or pore clogging with this cream after a couple of weeks of daily use. This smells fantastic, and I don’t like scents, so I could totally forgive them if they fixed the description.

For the 3rd time I will mention: crackly. My skin just flakes right off my face. I haven’t doubled up once. I don’t use a lot, a dab on the finger (the jar will last a long time). This stuff goes deep and works amazingly. I often follow a moisturizer with a moisturizer within the hour, and dab more on as the day goes on. I can use this after washing and forget it.

I don’t pay this much for a cream, but how do you gauge the cost of magic in a jar? I will use every drop and recommend you treat yourself if you can. Just be warned: this cream might have ruined all the other creams for me.

  6. Pamela R.

No huge difference for the price. Have tried just about everything on market .. was really hoping this was the one.

  7. Ferrari

The cream is soft and makes my skin feel amazing. I definitely recommend it for anyone going through age changes with their skin.
