It is velvety soft on my face. No weird smell. This has made my face either flake or have big red blotches. I suppose new skin is trying to break through but it’s pretty ugly right now lol
Update: after peeling and the irritation went away, my skin looks so good! I had lingering blemishes and patchy layers of skin buildup on part of my face that sloughed off finally 🤩 I skipped a week to heal lol and I just restarted it tonight but I’m already sold on this excellent retinol product!

I think it’s important for people to know to start slow to see how skin reacts! I did 3 treatments in a row and my face does look good now but my skin went haywire before it began to look better.

The first thing you need to know before using this treatment is that it is quite intense and needs to be used sparingly. Once you get the hang of how to use this to your best advantage, it is quite good.

The first time that I tried this, I really wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting into. Went to use this at the serum stage of my skincare regimen. Once applied, I realized that I needed to go no further. Do be clear (unlike me), this is not a facial serum. If anything, this is something you use after your toner and end from there, or use as your moisture cream. For me, it strikes me as being a combination between a serum and a moisture cream. I wouldn’t even bother with a serum on the days when I’m using this. You get both levels from this creamy substance.

Use sparingly because it’s very rich and you will only need to use a small amount. It will spread easily and absorbs well; however, it will leave you with a bit of dampness once complete. Doesn’t really feel oily and it’s definitely not greasy. It’s just that I noticed that parts of my face had a slight bit of a damp look for a good while after use. Felt a bit damp to the touch. Yet, it looked good. One of the places that held the dampness was under my eyes. This had me suspecting that it had something to do with how it reacted to my eye cream which normally doesn’t remain that damp. Some areas of my face were dewier than others and it wasn’t a T zone issue. Might have had something to do with how much I had applied. Not all that sure. Also, my eye cream added to that wet look.

This really is an excellent facial treatment that stands on its own. Works great to condition the skin and have it looking its best. Takes years off of your looks. Skin will be more supple and elastic and lines will be diminished. It really looks and feels heathy for many hours and holds a glow.

Best for those with normal to dry skin. Wonderful for a weekly treatment for my mature combination skin. A bit too intense for me to use on a daily basis, but does wonders for me when used on my drier days. Good for both men and women alike.

I tried this product for about 3-4 weeks. It was very harsh on my skin. I place a dab under my eyes and I need some tightening, it burns my skin. I love the other products, night cream, and sunscreen makeup. Be very careful using this product. I do not have sensitive skin and I was shocked.

Took a few times to apply correctly with concealer.
    A must have!

DRMTLGY Retinol Complex Skin Treatment 0.5%

This retinol and vitamin C treatment is in a silicone base which makes it a wonderful foundation primer. If you are trying to avoid silicones, you shouldn’t even try it. It sinks in quickly and is super easy to apply and tolerate. It has no scent and even though it goes on greasy, it dries down to nothing very quickly. Be sure to wear sunscreen and a good lotion while using this.

I am using about 1 pump from the bottle in the morning and applying this with my fingertips It works well with my other skincare and foundation. It has no weird pilling or stickiness. The ingredients are nice and simple.

This package comes safety sealed and there is no expiration date but it should be used within 6 months of opening. It comes in an easy-to-use white plastic with a built-in pump with a cap. It is recyclable and contains 28 ml. there are no recycling labels on the package.

I am disappointed this product does not list the ingredients in the product description. When I hunted them down I found it contained a lot of silicone which I prefer not to use. Retinol was listed last on the ingredients list.

I ran the ingredients through a cosmetics checker and this product scored very well. A 1 for potential comedogenic ingredients and a 0 for potential fungal acne ingredients. That said I personally feel my sensitive skin reacts to silicone though others may not.

It has a good percentage of retinol in it. I would suggest beginners start slowly with it and work up.

The price is comparable to other luxury brands. And I think if your skin plays well with silicones this could be a good choice. That said a prescription tube of tretinon is pretty reasonable so one may want to consider that route too.
