This item most definitely has a white cast. Maybe it doesn’t make you look 10 shades too light, but it most definitely leaves a white thick residue on your face that’s very obvious. I’ve used other Elta MD spfs that I love but I wanted a stick for when I’m on-the-go. The whole point of one of these sticks is that I don’t want to rub it in with my hands when I’m out and about, like many other spf sticks I’ve used, but this one was so so so so so thick and left such a white cast that I can’t just put it on on-the-go with out rubbing it in. I feel like it’s not worth it to use this and I’ll just go back to the regular lighter spf I typically use or a whole other spf stick from another brand that doesn’t have the same issues. I feel I have to give this one star since I’m literally not even using it because it doesn’t do what it said it would do and is in a stick form, but feels like a regular kids/family product for a day at the beach when white casts don’t matter and not something that’s from a respected brand like Elta MD, that I believe is typically top-tier.

🙁 this is expensive for something that still leaves my skin looking extra white. Sure, I didn’t get burnt – it works as a sunscreen. But I really wanted something that wasn’t obvious I had sunscreen all over my face. Will not buy again.

I have acne prone skin. This does not make me break out. It is worth every penny. I use it on my 4 year old granddaughter. It doesn’t sting or run into her eyes.
I apply it with a makeup brush which she doesn’t fight me.

It’s handy and convenient to reapply to your face when you don’t have an opportunity to wash hands first which is the reason I keep it in my sports bag. It does however pull/drag on your skin whilst applying.

Me encanta este producto, llego días después de pedirlo y aunque en las reseñas alcance a percibir que no estaban todos satisfechos con la aplicación del producto según algo duro de aplicar, a mi en el Caribe me resulta el bloqueador ideal. Tamaño perfecto, textura perfecta, aplicación perfecta. Solo puedo recomendarlo, si es pequeño, si es caro pero lo vale absolutamente.

Elta sunscreen is my top choice for protecting my face and skin from harmful rays when I’m outside. I have very sensitive eyes, and most sunscreens make them tear up. Elta is the only one that doesn’t irritate my eyes. It doesn’t have any white cast and doesn’t peel. Overall it’s the best so far.

I usually don’t post reviews on products but I felt compelled to do so because I had read some reviews that said this sunscreen leaves a white cast. It doesn’t for me. Upon application there’s a little cast (not even very white), but if you pat / rub it in, it disappears and it doesn’t even look like you’re wearing sunscreen. It’s not as easy to rub in as a traditional cream, so I do a pat / rubbing action. I’ve used EltaMD for years (UV Physical) and I’m happy I finally found another that I like even more. I was worried about the size but I’m on my second stick and I think it lasts longer than the larger tubes.

Was concerned about how much this costs for the amount of product, but definitely worth it! Used this solid stick on my wife’s tattoos and she put 70spf Neutrogena (yellow bottle) on the rest of her body while we were at the pool from 3-6pm. Everywhere on her body was pink except for where we put the EltaMD. The only reason I didn’t really use it was to test out supplements I’ve been taking and because my wife is more pale than I am. Already bought the UV Clear pump bottle (1.7fl oz) version for daily use

I will definitely be ordering again in the future. I put this on our faces before we got in friend’s pool. In direct sunlight over 3 hours. I rubbed it on my forehead but I missed some spots near hairline. We’ll I had a red line near hairline.
So this saved my face from sun burn. I did get sunburn near forehead/hairline where I didn’t apply close enough to hairline. So this product works. It’s nice to just rub on cheeks/face. No more messy hands with sunscreen lotion.
