C’est un produit que je connaissais déjà. Cependant, plus dispendieux que je m’attendais. Au final, ça vaut quand même le coup.

  2. Shakespeare’s Memory

I purchased one of these for my annoying Italian-American lady-moustache about a decade ago, and it actually worked until just a few weeks ago. I didn’t even know this product was still made! The name has changed (it used to be called a Tweez-e) but the effectiveness is slightly better than the old model. The price hasn’t gone up much in the last 10 years, either, if my memory serves me! I love this little contraption. It saves me hours of plucking. I hope it lasts as long as the previous model did! Who makes things that last for a decade anymore?

I misplaced my Tweezee that I’ve had for probably over a decade during a recent move so I bought what I thought would be an exact replacement. They look exactly the same, but my tweezee was amazing at plucking out every hair in its path and this thing plucks out….. NOTHING – like literally nothing. I’m running it over eyebrow stumble that I can clearly see between my eyebrows and it doesn’t pluck a single hair – I try every angle and still nothing… on hairs ranging from 1mm long to a 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch, still can’t snag ANY of them.
The pluckers seem to be spinning faster than my tweezee did…. so maybe it’s just going too fast to catch the hairs? I’ll need to find some half drained batteries to see if that helps. But, if the issue is just simply a poor design that I can’t change then they’re just completely useless. I’ve tried them several times now on different areas and maybe I’ve managed to pluck 5 hairs total by now…. after numerous attempts for quite a few minutes on a bunch of different days…. these are jobs that with my original tweezee, I would have completed in under a minute, instead 1-2 weeks later I’m still looking at the same shabby eyebrows (I at least had time to use a regular tweezer to take care of the stray hairs on my chin)

    Returned unused

I was gifted one and have used them before, not ordered from Amazon
I have had the best of luck with them !

In our household we have 3 Emjoi epilators (all from Amazon) and we like them all for different things. So I will post this same review for all three. We started with the AP-9T Tweezers – about $13.95. It is a small battery-operated unit. At first we had to learn how to use an epilator – how to hold it, etc., but once we got all that down, we found it worked really well for the small areas like upper and lower lip. Unless there is a massive amount of hair, it is not painful but you can feel when it “makes hits” – like a tweezer pull. It is not particularly useful for underarms and it would take too long to do the legs. But since we had got quite addicted to being hairless (and didn’t have to run out to be threaded every 3 weeks), we decided to buy another so that my daughter and I would each have one. This time we went up a notch to the Emjoi AP-9L Epi-Slim. It is about $14.77 at Amazon and also battery operated. We like it much better. It too is great for the small areas like the upper and lower lip and chin.

But we decided to also try a more expensive one. This time we bought the Emjoi AP-18 Emagine Dual Tweezer set. It is about $74.71 and it is more like the size of a men’s shaver. It is corded and more powerful. This one does great under the arms and on the legs and even in the bikini area. It is not so good on the small areas like the upper and lower lip because the dual heads don’t fit that well. But it will do the rest of the face and quite powerfully. The first time we tried to do the cheeks and the side of the face, it hurt – like little electric shocks as it pulled all that baby fine fuzz most of us have there. It makes your face so smooth. But once you get past the first few times and the bulk of the hair has been pulled, it is not painful.

Ladies, there is no reason to be hairy! These gadgets really work.

This product does what it claims to do. It is a little less powerful than I’d hoped, but it’s still good enough.

I have been using Emjoi Tweezer System for 10 years. I just purchased my second one only because I dropped the plastic cover and broke off one of the side insert pieces. I can still use Tweeze without the cover, but thought I would have a second one on standby. I am 60 years old and have dealt with all types of facial hair and hair removal. Tweeze is the best! Let’s face a fact. . .removing facial hair by a tweezer, wax or anything that pulls the hair out by the root has some pain involved. The more you use Tweeze the less you will notice the discomfort, especially because it works so well. A novice to the system must be patient and practice the technique. Follow the directions. You don’t use Tweeze like a razor; you use it in small circular motion barely touching the skin. If you press Tweeze to hard against the skin the hair will less likely to be tweezed out. My expertise after ten years allows me to use Tweeze without a mirror! It works better for me by feeling the hair folicles with my finger and then Tweeze-ing over them. I just finished using Tweez and my face and neck feels smooth and soft. I apply a face lotion after I Tweeze.

I just wanted to share my years of experience with Tweeze. It’s a great product; it takes some practice; it works!

    Works great

  9. M&M

It seems to do the job, it took me a long time because I think only the middle part actually pulls out hairs, so I needed to get it in the right angle but besides that I just used it once so can’t give anything more on how long it works for

I had a “tweezer” that I used for over 15 years. When it stopped working I tried other similar products with unsuccessful results. I am VERY happy with this product – it works just as well as my original!!!

I’ve had a much older version of this and used it for years, never had any issues with it. When it broke, I looked for the same make, naturally. Whatever changes they’ve made to the rotating element, it made it so rough on the skin, that I still have bruises after one week. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Works just the same as the old one, but much more peppy, as the old one was fairly worn out the last 2 years, even with new batteries. I discovered over the years that using the plastic cover was a waste of time, as it prevented proper angling to grab the small hairs. I don’t run the head smoothly over the skin, I use a short stroke kind of bounce technique which works for me the best. After so many years of using, it doesn’t hurt anymore, as the hairs have become much more fine. Love this epilator, as I have always had a lot of peach fuzz!
