If you think this is a liquid foundation, you are sadly mistaken. And you will be very disappointed. If you understand what this is and you need it, it will be liquid gold to you. I have ginormous pores on my nose, parts of my cheeks and some pitted acne scarring on my cheeks. This is a tinted skin treatment that is matte finish like Powder.
My pores are so big that I cannot use traditional foundation. It will poolin the pores. Or maximize the larger us of the pores and it just never works or looks right. This “shake it “ on the other hand, fills in the look of my pores and with a light coating of powder over top, my pores look like they have disappeared. This also is supposed to help control the oil that causes enlarged pores. Because my skin is so oily I do have to touch up with powder midday, but the effect still looks the same. It is like magic on my skin when nothing else will work.
After I do my skincare and my sunscreen, I use it as a last step of my skin care and I swipe it on and dab it To even it out. Once it dries to a powdered finish, then I simply blend it out with a brush and add powder over top. I’m able to use a concealer on the parts of my face that needed it and/or my Alima pure satin powder foundation. But I never use anything but this and a translucent powder on my nose. It is enough to take down the redness and it looks like a make up finish, but it also does not look or like I obviously have make up on.
I do not suggest this to be used in areas of your skin that are prone to dryness, but use it in areas where you are oily and acne prone and you will be amazed at the finish of your skin! I will not live without this anymore, I always have a bottle as a back up before I run out of my current bottle. I asked for it for every birthday and every holiday. It is my holy Grail. if you are a girl With large pores like me and cannot wear traditional make up without it looking ridiculous. You need this in your life.

This stuff is awful. It’s basically pure alcohol with a couple of drops of foundation. It is extremely watery, so very difficult to get the right amount on your pad or brush, and it dries fast, so it’s hard to evenly spread across your skin. Then it dries into a powdery finish that shows every wrinkle and pore. Plus it cannot be returned, a very expensive mistake that I really regret.

I’m in love with this product! It takes some work to figure out how to use it but I promise stick with it and you’ll love it! I have really oily skin and it works so well on me! I even put it over sunscreen and it’s great! Use a cotton ball – not a cotton pad and not a velvet puff – just a good old plain cotton ball. You’ll need a few though. Start by smearing it on your face then go with a clean cotton ball and smooth it. Add a second or third layer if needed. I put a few dabs of concealer here and there over top of it and it’s fine. Also you can add some setting powder for added longevity. 10:10!!

It’s OK. I don’t understand the dabbing technology but it’s not a typical coverage. I am still using it and will give it some time to figure out if it’s worth the money.

It provides a nice, sheer, matte finish that minimizes pores and gives a good foundation for any makeup you wish to put on top of it. I used it the first time over 35 years ago. The product size has been greatly reduced from the original size, but otherwise it’s the same…nothing else like it.

Pay attention! Main page said this item was 8.5oz, original product from Erno Laszlo was 6.8oz. This is a tiny 3.0oz bottle for nearly the price of the 5.8 I last bought directly from Laszlo. Just beware. The product itself is awesome…if this is like the older Shake-it. Haven’t used any from this new bottle yet.

The consistency caught me off guard, it’s very watery you should shake very well per instructions. I swept it over my face with downward strokes very quickly because it dries very quickly. There are some areas of my face that are slightly spotty and pink. I went over those areas with another layer of product, voila no pores I thought my skin looked great however, at Thanksgiving dinner party my sisters and cousins exclaimed how beautiful and flawless my skin looked. This was the cherry on top. I did notice that per the amount and because of the consistency, I will go through it quickly. how quickly? I’ve yet to see. Thanks to Erno Laszlo.
