This was recommended by a rheumatologist for dry skin associated with Lupus (SLE). However, in my case I got a very itchy rash shortly after usage which I had to get treated. I tried the product again three other times and each time resulted in the rash after use. What a waste as is a bit pricey!

I grew up in the humid South, so when I moved to Southern CA my skin got so dry. It was really uncomfortable. I started using this body wash oil, and I really like it. It’s unscented, but the oil has a kind of nutty smell, similar to oil supplements but not as strong. The smell doesn’t stick around at all, though. It does a great job of making you feel clean while still leaving your skin moisturized. And not an artificial, weird lotiony-moisture- just clean and comfortable. My skin does feel much nicer, though I’m still using a moisturizer every few days, too. Also, the makers of Euricen don’t test on animals, though I don’t think they’ve gotten Leaping Bunny Certification, so take that as you will.
Neither my husband nor I have sensitive skin, so I’m not sure whether this would be good for those with sensitive skin or things like excema, but I would expect it to be.
Although it’s good for sensitive or super dry skin, I do get bored with the lack of scent. I just add essential oils to spruce it up. Overall a great product- nothing exotic or luxurious, but the fact that it’s so basic means you can modify it pretty easily with your own oils or scents for fun. This is a staple at our house- my husband and I use it religiously!

El aroma no es del todo de mi agrado, llegue a pensar que no eran de la marca pero hasta el momento los resultados del producto han sido lo esperados

Our son has extremely sensitive skin. In 2014, he had a major skin breakout that took us several doctor visits to diagnose. Two doctors diagnosed him with eczema and referred us to a specialist. The physicians were adamant that skin conditions are extremely hard to treat. They wanted us to realize that this would not be easy. The doctor gave us samples of two products. One sample was this product and the other was Aquaphor Baby Wash & Shampoo. We use the Eucerin in the bath water and the Aquaphor to wash our munchkin. It worked! No pricey specialist, medications, or creams. This did the trick and has work for years. When the weather changes and we have more severe flair ups we use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. The doctor will sometimes prescribe a prescription steroid to mix with it. These three things have been life savers for our little boy. Skin conditions are tough to treat. Medications and treatment can be extremely expensive and often yield no benefit. This is a review from a mom that these products work. Yes, the Eucerin is oily. It’s an oil to moisturize the skin. No, we have not ever had problems with it smelling, but I guess that’s more of an individual biased. That said, it doesn’t have a bad smell or a great smell. It’s really plain, but if you think scented products typically cause more problems. The bottom line it works.

As a chronic sufferer of eczema for 26 years, which gets worse in the summer, and very bad – i’m talking red patches on neck, elbow, knees, stomach, rib cage – this really helped to calm down my eczema. I didn’t realize that other commercial soaps dried out your skin SO much. But after using this for a while, I realized how nice my skin became (along with the other tools in my eczema-battling arsenal: heavy moisturizer and a topical steroid).

This product does not lather up. It does, just a tiny bit, but that’s okay because the more it lathers – the more it dries out your skin. It’s made with an oil to cleanse your skin so it retains moisture. My only con is that it makes my bathroom smell like oil, unfortunately. And being ‘unscented’ (I guess for as unscented can get for an oil), it doesn’t really leave any nice fragrance. However, I’ll take non-smelling and unscented for better and more calmed down skin. I recommend this to other sufferers of eczema… while there is no cure, this can definitely help manage it. Good luck to you.

This product is great and I have used it for many years now on a daily basis to help manage eczema. Shame Amazon Australia charge a lot more than what I used to pay ordering directly from the US. They also now restrict buying direct from the US (it is a US product) – disgraceful!

Second time ordering this, love it. Very gentle on my old skin.

The liquid version of Castile soap, which is to say it is made from oils instead of being chemical soup. The main ingredient in Castile is olive oil and it is much healthier for your skin. http://www.soaphistory.net/soap-history/castile-soap/
One thing you do need to understand is that it is manmade chemicals that make modern soap bubble. In the old days soap was made from Lye, or ‘potash’ because it was widely available and olive oil was not. In America, olive oil was brought over with the immigrants but was not widely available for a reasonable price and considered too valuable to use for soap making. Lye is harsh on everything, including skin so man-made chemical concoctions were made to replicate the bubble effect without the lye. The bubbles are NOT an indication of cleaning power or effectiveness, we think that it is because of very effective advertising campains back in the 1940’s. It was also implied in the advertising that oil based soaps were not as effective in germ control, which is not true. The coming of Castile soaps to Europe changed the landscape of diseases forever.
Why am I telling you this? Because this soap is not going to foam up like other body washes do. In my opinion, it’s pretty useless to even use a scrubber with it because it’s not going to bubble and you won’t get the best effect from the soap. If you have it set in your head that you have to have piles of bubbles to ‘be clean’, you won’t be happy. You will be just as clean, probably cleaner, using this but some people can’t get around the mental bubble hurdle.
If you do get over the bubble hurdle you will love this soap. The oils clean gently but effectively. You should see your skin begin to soften, brighten, and generally just look happier in a short amount of time. You will probably not need as much daily lotion because the oils hydrate your skin and retain the moisture for you. If you do have skin conditions, such as eczema or irritated skin, this soap should be very helpful. Ask your doctor first, for severe cases, but I know our dermatologist recommends this for eczema.
This product is fragrance-free. Not to say that it does NOT have a smell, it does, it’s just not an artificial smell. It smells like the oils it contains, such as olive and vitamin E. Some may find the smell a bit different and strong, others find it smells clean. For our use, I generally add a few drops of essential oil to the bottle before first use and give it a really good shake.
I really like the Healing Solutions Essential Oils ((http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PYS7R7M/ref=s9_al_bw_g121_i1) for this.
Currently, we are using lavender, but we switch it up between bottles sometimes to a citrus, sometimes to a seasonal one like cinnamon and cloves around Christmas. Just don’t add too much, as the essential oils are strong and can irritate the skin. If you haven’t used essential oils before, do some research and test small amounts to see how you like it and how your skin reacts.
I really like that this product is available on subscribe and save. I can set an order for a 3 bottle set once every 3 months and forget about it. Between the 2 of us we use about 1 bottle a month. You might use more until you get accustomed to the oil soap experience.

I’ve been using this body lotion for a few years now and I find with my sensitive skin it works quite well , I
also like the fact that it doesn’t bother my allergies

So, I’ve no longer use shampoo and have given up soap. Everything is too dry. This oil cleanser leaves me feeling clean and not dried out. Who knew there was such things as oil to clean yourself? I thought the description of the Greek Olympic athletes cleaning oil sounded discussing. I am reconsidering that opinion.
