I didn’t really have any expectations when I ordered this serum. I’m 49 and work from home and frankly, beauty has pretty much become my lowest priority. I am not in the know when it comes to skincare and cosmetics. Not at all. In fact I had never even heard of Vitamin C Serum until one day when I was looking at the news online and saw a photo of Jared Kushner looking, well, not 100% human. As I recall, I googled something to the effect of “Jared Kushner plastic face” and found an article that featured several MUA’s giving suggestions for how he could make his face look like it was covered in skin rather than Saran Wrap. Along with setting powder, Vitamin C Serum was the most frequent suggestion. Well, if they think it would make him look better then maybe I should give it a try too. So I headed to Amazon, balanced ratings and prices and chose the Eva product.

Since we’re being honest, I’ll say that my skin has never been perfect. I’ve got large pores, they clog, I get occasional breakouts and there is an overall pink tone due to fussing at it too much as a teenager/young adult. On top of all that joy, I’ve now reached the stage of dark bags under my eyes, fine wrinkles and deep 11 furrows in my brow. It is definitely NOT a good time for me to give up on trying to look better.

So my Eva Serum arrived and I really didn’t know what to do with it. The consistency is watery, so… cotton ball? Use the dropper and drop it directly on my face? I decided to drop a bit into my palms and rub it in. That seemed to work well. I experimented with the amount… one drop? a full dropperful? About 3 drops turned out to be a good amount. It has a scent that is natural, I don’t think it is perfumed at all, but I like it – maybe I’ve convinced myself that the scent is the smell of me doing something good for my skin. Who knows, but I like it.

So I washed my face, dried, used gentle astringent, applied the Vitamin C serum, let it dry and applied moisturizer. Woke up in the morning and saw no change (I did say this was a pleasant surprise rather than an earth-shaking miracle, right?) I repeated this mornings and nights for about 3 days, then had a couple of unsightly blemishes. I’m told that it takes a certain number of weeks to cycle through the old skin completely, so my blemishes were likely on my skin’s agenda long before I even knew about the serum, so I can’t cast blame. After a few more days of repeating morning and night, my skin actually DID look better! Subtly better, but better all the same. My pores are smaller and less visible – only small darkness in pores instead of large. Best of all, one of my 11 lines has started to become less deep. So now it’s more like a 1 and a dotted line, which is super-exciting after all the years I’ve spent scowling and squinting at the financial reports on which I blame those furrows. To the touch, my skin also feels nicer – smoother, softer, a little more supple. Still 49 years old, but a better 49.

So now that the rest of my face started to look better, I got to thinking about the dark bags under my eyes… I started searching Amazon for an eye cream. Looked at a bunch, couldn’t choose, didn’t want to spend money on something that wouldn’t work. But then I realized that the ingredients in the eye creams were all about the same as in the Vitamin C Serum. Now the skin around my eyes is as sensitive as the next girl’s so I was a little nervous about this, but I decided to pat a little of the serum below my eyes… no discomfort! The next day I went all the way and used it under my eyebrows, on the eyelids and did not skimp under my eyes. Still no discomfort!! So this product turns out to double as an eye cream too and I do notice that the dark circles and puffiness aren’t quite as bad as before.

I think I’m using my first bottle up faster than I should because of my experimentation with the amounts, but I like it enough that I don’t want to run out and have put another bottle in my Amazon cart today. Overall, I think it is worth the price and I would recommend it to a friend.

I normally use high end products like La Mer and SK-II, but I saw people raving about this product and decided to try it. I have two dark spots from mosquito bites that won’t lighten up. I’ve been using this product on the spots, and on my face, and my skin looks more even after a few days. Even the mosquito bite scars are lighter. Very pleased with this serum! Good results at a very reasonable price.

I’m about to give a lengthy but informative review because I love it so much and I love when people tell me what has worked for them! Acne has never been a problem for me however the past 2 years I’ve been getting a little bit of hormonal acne on my chin area and have searched high and low for products that will reduce these and also give my skin a vibrant complexion of and even glow. This is actually the first ‘serum’ I have ever used but I am hooked for life. It smells like I’m at a spa and leaves my skin feeling and looking absolutely radiant. It’s only been about a week since I’ve been using it but it’s part of my daily routine and I can see the changes in my skin looking so healthy! I don’t use it at night because I have other products I’ve been using but I’m just going to break down everything I use on a daily basis incase others are curious on what other products really work because I always appreciate when others do this:

    Morning
    1. Wash face with either Neutrogena Acne Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub or Yes to Grapefruit Daily Face Scrub (I just really love the smell of grapefruit). I use these anytime I wash my face and really just alternate between them.
    2. Apply the Eva Vitamin C serum and let dry for about 15 minutes
    3. Apply Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (my mom and grandmom have been using this for decades and it truly is amazing)
    4. Apply Clinique All About the Eyes under my eyes just for an added boost for fine lines sometimes

    Evening/Night
    1. I LOVE FACE MASKS. I’ve tried so many but I have officially found some I’m obsessed with. I do my clay masks and noise pore strips about 2x a week. My favorite mask right now is from Amazon called New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask and it seriously is so relaxing and magic on my face. I apply it with these magical silicone brushes from an Amazon brand called Opiqcey. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. It reeeeeally open up my pores and gets them ready to get tackled (also leaves my skin so soft). Side note, applying the mask after you take a hot shower is the best.
    2. Immediately after the face mask I use the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips from Amazon (they have face and nose ones), leave one for 15ish minutes and then you truly get to see all the gunk that’s on your face!! Recently started using this brand and am in awe.
    3. Apply Curology (this is where you could use the Eva serum instead). I’ve been using it for about 4 months and I’ve only had 1-2 small chin acne breakouts so I’m sticking to my nightly routine. Also evens out my complexion so I seriously couldn’t recommend it enough (does purge your skin for the first 1-2 months so don’t be alarmed).
    4. Apply Curology moisturizer (or any moisturizer)
    5. Apply Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair under my eyes (this has reeeeeally reduced fine lines, sun damage and dark circles)
Like I said, these are just the things that have worked for me and yes I use a lot right now but I find it super beneficial and relaxing!! Couldn’t recommend the Eva serum enough and I would recommend using it day and night!

I purchased this product after hours of viewing items that claimed to reduce or eliminate dark spots on the face. I’m a male in my 50’s and I’ve noticed that I’m developing dark spots on my forehead from sun exposure. I settled on this product, simply because I was overwhelmed with the vast number of products and reviews, and finally just picked this. I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say that it is clearly evening out my skin tone over my entire face and forehead. I’m not sure, but this is probably how it reduces dark spots, and it’s definitely doing that for me. I’m a guy, and I typically don’t think about this, but my face is glowing, my skin is tighter, and I have an overall even, healthy appearance. I also like the smell of this stuff. I use it in the morning and before I go to bed. I don’t follow it up with moisturizer and/or any other skin products, since that’s not really my thing. I’m very happy with the product’s performance on my skin.

I have basically never had a skincare routine besides getting my makeup off with moisturiser, rinsing the residue off then another round of clean moisturiser… I do have very soft skin as a result! but I’ve realised I’m 39 and I probably need to do some serious damage control for the wrinkles and frown lines because I scowl a lot whilst I’m yelling at my work laptop.
To be honest there’s so many products and different how to guides it’s all baffling, so when I came across this serum and it mentioned several things in one I thought I’d give it a go! I have now gotten into a routine of at the very least washing my face then applying the serum followed by moisturiser. The consistency is watery (looks a bit dodgy) so it sinks in really quickly, it doesn’t feel at all tacky or sticky. Within literally a minute or so it’s absorbed. It does have a smell and normally I can’t wear anything with a strong smell but this is quite pleasant. As you only need a small amount to cover your face it’s not too strong, just don’t put it too near your eyes (underneath is fine but leave a little gap between your eyelash line & the eye bag area). I used a small bottle and have now bought a bigger one, and also one for my mum. To me I’d say the benefits are my skin does seem a bit glowier & less dull, & I had some sun spots (darn being so pale, swear they just appeared one day from walking home without spf on) which have faded slightly. I’ll continue to use this and I’m also going to try the collagen peptide one.

I’ve been using another popular brand of vitamin c serum bought on amazon, but found that the dropper was getting plugged and blocked with thick serum and had to keep flushing with water. I wanted to try another brand. Decided on this one because of the reasonable price for a trial purchase, and so far I am very happy with it. I apply after washing my face with baby soap and water. I pat dry my skin but leave it slightly moist. I apply this serum after warming it between my fingers. I apply it on my face, forehead, all around my eyes and lids, my neck and chest. I even apply some on my ears because who wants wrinkly earlobes?! It leaves my skin instantly smoother and tighter. It’s amazing. It does leave a bit of shine, almost like jelly skin, so I use it at bedtime or if I’m home all day and don’t mind some shine. I wait 5 minutes or so, do other evening skin care, and then after the serum has soaked in I apply a creamy moisturizer, or a creamy oil all over my face, and my eye cream. It is so effective that next morning if I don’t want to apply a light foundation I can go bare faced with just a dusting of powder and eye cream. That’s it. No foundation, no primer, nothing. I think if this can leave my skin so smooth and healthy looking that I only need a dusting of powder, this is a keeper. I just hope the dropper doesn’t goop up and get plugged. Some buyers comment on a minty / citrusy scent but I don’t find it minty. I wish it *was* minty. I would love minty or citrusy, but I find it very slightly medicinal (but not in a bad way) and the scent disappears quickly. I would recommend this. The price is reasonable.
