If you’re looking for more volume and separation and less of a wet look, I can see how someone could use this however for those with medium and long mixed textured curls/waves👩🦱👨🦱, that are medium to tight or both…this will annoy you (might work for shorter pixie type cuts or men with short hair who also have this texture) while you’re trying to detangle your hair by the brush part sliding out, although that’s a nice feature for cleaning the brush, whatever you use to condition your hair makes the brush slip out even more and for me there are too many bristles. Yes I think the point is for you to be able to remove some bristles and adjust it to your texture or separate/define your curls/waves or to use for a specific style technique similar (from what I’ve gathered of it anyway) to the Denman brush (which I was trying this out as a cheaper substitute for to see if that brush style even works for me) but even with hair that keeps a good amount of moisture and isn’t too hard to detangle normally (when I keep up with my hair as I’m supposed to anyway) this isn’t for me, I want a brush I can grip and that’s as quick as possible in detangling w/o getting stuck etc…the wet brush works a lot better for me personally especially if I’m just trying to be quick but this may work for styling your hair in a certain way or if you want more of a fluffy look but you really need to take your time with this brush and section it out, not my thing. I just wanted something that safely and quickly detangles my hair while keeping its moisture and a nice wave/curl but😕…yea…🚫😑 no. It did work as a substitute for a boar bristle brush to slick my pony tail back but other than that 😒for the price it is what it is, a mid plastic brush that requires patience that I no longer possess in doing my hair these days but hey… maybe you do.🤷♀️🤷♂️

I love denman…this is comparable but it easily slides apart if you hold it more vertically as brush. UT great for price. I can wash it easy. Stiff for thick hair and scalp which is what I wanted.

Bristles don’t have plastic balls at the tips that always come off. These plastic bristles don’t need those balls because these don’t hurt your scalp, but they’re stiff enough to go through your hair. Also this brush doesn’t generate static electricity. The best thing is it’s EASY to keep clean! Love it!
