The bristles are way too soft. Def doesn’t work like my old one that I lost which is unfortunate. I love a good sleek ponytail but this just isn’t strong enough to get the hair back without getting those bumps. Ill have to find a better one.

I now understand some of the negative reviews of this brush, the bristles are softer than I would expect. I own another brand of boar hair and the bristles are very stiff. Is it really boar hair? I have no clue, but I have short, fine hair and it works great for me. It’s soft where it contacts my scalp but brushes the hair just fine. The handle is a little bulky and not particularly comfortable to hold, but it’s solid wood and appears it will last a long time. Overall for the price, a good brush if you don’t expect too much of it.
