My husband is 53 and starting to get dark bags and wrinkles in the eye area. We have been using this for over 2 weeks and there is a noticeable improvement in the appearance of his under eye area. He applies after his shower- a little goes a long way. It is greasy- but I think that is part of why it works so well. By morning- it has absorbed into the skin and his under eye area looks much better. The key is daily use!

I got this Forge Men’s Wrinkle Defense Tallow Balm as I was looking for a face moisturizer and the tallow ingredient caught my attention and wanted to give it a try.
I was expecting a greasy smelly cream which was not the case, it has a subtle scent which I did not mind. I have been using it for few weeks and can feel the moisturizing effect which makes it worth it. What I need to be aware of is that I need to apply the cream well before going to bed as it takes long to be absorbed, and I do not want the cream to be wiped in my pillow. That happens even after reducing the amount of cream to be applied to a minimum.
They price point is in the high end for this type of product, while being a reasonably good cream I believe I can find more competitive options for that money.

This is a facial moisturizer whose marketing is aimed at men. The first ingredient is tallow which is rendered animal fat. Per the company website this appears to be beef fat. I’m not a vegan so that’s not an issue for me but many might not know what tallow is.
This is a rich facial cream with enough essential oils that it doesn’t smell like lard. It’s a small jar but the product is dense enough that you don’t need much. I find it adequately moisturizing as a night cream albeit a little greasy. If the goal is to find a reasonable use for tallow vs disposing it, I can accept that argument. I’ve definitely used better night creams so while this is ok for me, I’d be unlikely to buy it given the small amount of product per jar.

This is a tallow balm in a small screw top jar. The balm is a cream consistency. The color is light yellow. There is not much of a scent and it dissipates on the skin rapidly.
This balm is thick so I thought it was best to use it at bed time. It is very rich and absorbed quickly. It left slight marks on my pillowcase and in the morning I had hydrated skin.
This balm makes an excellent bed time intensive moisturizing cream. It is probably too heavy for use during the day or if you have oily skin. Best left to the dry skin people requiring some major moisturizing.

I never used a tallow moisturizer before, but figured I would give it a shot. I am pleasantly surprised with this, it doesn’t have any smell that I have noticed, and my skin absorbs it pretty well. It is a little greasy on my skin, but I know others may not have the same experience. Other than the greasiness it does leave my skin looking good.
