What can I say? I needed some shims for a wood working project and it was a lot less hassle to buy a box of these than buy a 1×2 and try to rip thin strips. I only used 8 pieces, but I figure I can save a few for future use and give the rest to my grandkids to build bird houses or some kind of art project.

If you don’t mind dealing with some being split 1/3rd to half way of their length on one end then they’ll do ok. I prefer the wider ones like these vs the narrow kind.
