I was looking for a damage free way to pull my hair up since I’ve been experiencing breakage from wearing pony tails so often. I did a YouTube deep dive and found this as a possible solution because it allows you to secure your hair with less tension on the scalp and gives you various options to pin it up. I was a little worried it might not work with my relaxed African American hair but let me tell you, if definitely does and it’s so easy and amazing to use plus they’re super cute and elegant looking!! They hold secure too, my hair wasn’t budging! I suggest looking up some videos on how to use them properly because that’s what I did and I was able to secure my hair with the first time using and it was very simple! I’m going to be starting a collection of these now because I’m hooked!

Good for half up styles but not good for thicker hair. Very lightweight cheap plastic and not quite long enough.

I have long thin hair and this holds my buns well. I work in MRI and wanted a metal-free hair clip option that wouldn’t give me a headache or damage my hair. This is a great solution. Nothing particularly fashionable or stunning about it but it works consistently and comfortably.

My hair slips out of these immediately. It doesn’t hold anything at all. I tried doing a French chignon and when I tried putting these things in my hair, it felt like they were stretching out just to grab any hair. I don’t have thick hair by any means, I actually have fine hair. And I don’t have too much of it. These things just slipped right up and out of my hair every time. Even with hairspray to try and make my hair more grippy.
