Thoughts after using for 3 weeks:
The main reason I bought these was to prevent wrinkles while I’m sleeping. I’m 38 and haven’t used any patches or tape on my face before but started noticing the 11’s were a lot worse when I wake up in the morning. I wanted to try some kind of tape or patches to use to prevent that. I wanted something clean and natural that wouldn’t irritate my skin. These definitely do work for preventing wrinkles while sleeping. My forehead looks so smooth and soft after I remove them in the morning. By the end of the day my forehead lines and 11’s are noticeable again though and so far I’m not seeing a difference. I will give it more time and see. I don’t think it helps to train me to not to use my forehead muscles unless I were to wear them during the day when I’m actually making those expressions.
-The adhesive doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin which is awesome. I’ve had a history of sensitive skin and always a little nervous to try new products.
-It doesn’t really stop you from using those muscles like I’ve seen them claim. I can still make the same expressions while they’re on, it’s just not creating the wrinkles and creases because your skin is held in place. I do think it helps to not make those expressions but you can still do it.
-They smell funky to me but I am getting used to it. I don’t know what it is but it smells slightly sweet but kind of sour and weird. It’s hard to describe. It doesn’t smell like chemicals or perfume or anything, just strange.
-They are a little annoying to apply and takes some time and feels tedious. They stick well and I’ve never had issues with them not staying on but I make sure I wait after applying face oil and then I wipe any excess before applying. I lightly spray them with rose water and then rub it around with my finger until it becomes tacky. You can also spray it a little heavier and wait for it to curl up as the instructions state, either way works fine.
-I noticed that if I apply them too low (right above my eyebrows) I inadvertently kept using my forehead muscles to lift them up away from my eyes when I was lying in bed reading or on my phone. I noticed tension and fatigue in my forehead so I apply them a little higher and it resolved that. Hard to describe, might just be me.
-It’s much easier to peel them off slowly rather than using water to remove. If you use water it gets messy and the adhesive gets all over your skin. I just slowly peel them off in the morning. It was kind of painful at first but now it doesn’t feel like anything.
-One package of these lasted about 3 weeks. I wish they lasted longer.
I wish I could find something like this for my chest since I’m a side sleeper. I wake up with lots of creases and wrinkles on my chest. I wish there were a tape option with non toxic adhesive like this. I’ve been looking into KT tape but I’m concerned about the adhesives they use. I will definitely keep using these for now.

They definitely work. One night of use and they smoothed away all of my deeper forehead wrinkles. Finer lines did not disappear (I’m talking lines you can’t see at conversation distance), but I’m not looking for a time machine that erases my proof of living past young adulthood.
Of course, Frownies are really just fancy bits of adhesive paper. But it’s effective at preventing you from making facial expressions while on your face. Frownies work along the same basic principle as Botox (which paralyzes your facial muscles) but the effects are far less noticeable/far more temporary. The difference is comparable to straightening your hair every morning (Frownies) vs getting a straight perm at the salon (Botox). They’re both temporary (temporary = if you stop doing them, they’ll stop working), but one has longer lasting results and is more invasive/chemical-based.
Some people have mentioned that peeling them off is hard. The trick is to wait longer after you wet the adhesive patches or use more water. If you wait a while after wetting them, they come off extremely easily, kind like a wet bandaid. Personally, about 10 minutes before applying the Frownies, I apply a thin layer of moisturizer on my forehead. It makes it way easier to take off the next morning, but doesn’t affect the results.
I have heard that consistently using Frownies has a longer-term effect or the adhesive may cause breakouts for certain people. I will see how that goes and report back one day.
* Update *
After more than 6 months of use, I can say they do in fact work as well as day 1. My forehead is a lot smoother than it was when I was 4 years younger. Shocking! I’ve used it about 3-5 nights a week after moisturizer (moisturizer underneath makes it way easier to remove the Frownies in the morning) and all other skin products have soaked in. Sometimes when I work from home and furrow my brow, I’ll slap these on. No breakouts but I don’t have sensitive skin. I think if I stopped, the deeper lines would start coming back. But I don’t really plan to stop, so I think that speaks to my approval for this product!
Again, it didn’t make my finer lines disappear but I do think it smoothed them over by 20%. But someone would have to grab my head and come to kissing distance to see them.
** Update 2 **
I started tretinoin, and I will use Frownies on top of them. I wait for the tretinoin to soak in first, then put a layer of moisturizer on top of it, wait for that to soak in, then slap on a Frownie. I see no terribly adverse reaction from using them in conjunction with each other. As a warning though, I’d recommend you pause Frownies until about 2-3 months into your tretinoin routine, when you’ve adjusted to the side effects and have finished the purging stage. (Mini update: after months of tretinoin and Frownies use, I see no negative interactions between using them in conjunction like this, so long as there is a bit of time between the two.)

I am very pleased with my results! I used my regular skincare routine at night, waiting for it to dry and applied mine as directed (warm water) with no spaces and made sure they overlaped. Pressed down and left them on over night.
I have well cared for skin as I have been taking care of it a long time started in my teens. But alas time has creeped in and now I have lines and the dreaded 11’s on my brow.
At 49 I refuse to use Botox or fillers due to the science still coming out about them.
I highly recommend these little patches! I did discover you can use them more than once as long as they still stick.
I have told everyone about them. They are incredible! Easy to use, I had no problem sleeping in mine and I am a tummy sleeper. They stayed put all night!
They do stink, but I say it’s an even trade.

I tried these on a whim so didn’t have a great deal of high expectations. I was so surprised after just one use I could really see the different. I wore mine over night so I cannot say how they work when worn for just a few hours.
The crease between my brows was significantly less visible. The effects did wear off a little by the end of the day but I have used it for 4 nights consecutively now and the results seem to be lasting longer them more I use them.
I already feel more confident and would be happy to recommend this product.

This product is ok. I do wake up with my forehead wrinkles smoother. Which is great but for the price they could work on the smell. Its like old spit on a paper bag. Not very pleasant when you’re trying to sleep but you get used to it. Also not a fan of all the little corner to rip apart. Maybe provide the squars already cut with all 4 corners rounded & leave the option to split the square in to triangles. On a positive I have sensitive skin & so far have not experienced any irritation & it does force you to learn to sleep on your back.
