I recently purchased the Function of Beauty Wavy Hair Shampoo + Conditioner Set with the Shine, Strengthen, & Anti-Frizz, and I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience. As a college student with wavy hair, I was excited to try this customizable shampoo and conditioner set, hoping it would enhance my hair’s glossiness and natural shine while combating frizz. However, after using it for several weeks, I’ve noticed no improvement in the condition of my hair. First, the shampoo and conditioner could have done more to address my concerns of frizz and lackluster shine. Instead of enhancing the glossiness of my hair, it left it looking dull and lifeless. Additionally, despite being sulfate-free, I found that the products left a residue on my hair, making it feel greasy and weighed down. Furthermore, the #HairGoal Boosters seemed to have no effect whatsoever, as I didn’t notice any difference in the texture or appearance of my hair after incorporating them into my routine

I have a few different shampoos and conditioners, and this is my go-to set. The smell is light and pleasant. The consistency of both products is thick. I love the size and feel of the bottles, as they fit right in my hand and do not slip. I know this set is for wavy hair, which I do indeed have, but I can’t say I noticed any difference from other quality shampoos and conditioners. The “boosters” don’t seem to do anything, frankly, although they did feel good on my scalp.

The shampoo and conditioner smell nice. My hair turns out nice. I don’t think it’s any wavyer than it is with other shampoos. Having to put in the added anti frizz etc is kind of gimmicky. Who wouldn’t want less frizz, shine, etc. Just include it in the shampoo. I probably won’t order it again because I can buy virtually any product and get similar results.

The shampoo is extremely drying and the conditioner can’t seem to hydrate enough to make up for it.

This customizable shampoo and conditioner is a cool idea. There’s definitely a fun appeal to it. I think this would make it a fun gift. It does feel, though, like the hairgoals boosters are just for fun.
The shampoo and conditioner are fine. The shampoo works into a rich lather, and the conditioner is pretty light. It has a light and pleasant fresh fruity smell. It works fine in my hair. I’m not noticing any improvement, but it doesn’t look worse.
There is a gimmicky feel to the product, but I do actually like it.

I have ordered Function of Beauty through their website and they gave me a nice bottle with my name on it in my formula. I am not sure it is the same formula, but this one works well also. My have is shiny and styles without FL frizz.
