I know Glow Recipe is not the cheapest brand, but I was excited to try this travel set.

The toner has a pretty strong artificial watermelon smell, so just a heads up for those with sensitive skin. It applied nicely and absorbed fast. Didnt irritate me despite having acids, since it’s a very gentle product.

The cream was very nice consistency, didn’t have much of a strong smell, and applied easily. Once it’s absorbed, it did leave my skin pretty moist and hydrated. So it’s perfect for the summer months for my combination skin.

The hue drops were a bit of a miss for me. Even though they look super dark right out of the pump, once you apply to the face, there’s not much effect left. All it does is give you that slightly glowy sparkly look, which is almost undetectable. I have very fair skin, and all it did was change my skin after the sunscreen back to its normal shade. I use mineral sunscreens, so they do tend to make me slightly pale. The effect didn’t last a whole day as well, I stopped noticing that even minimal glow after a few hours. So might have to reapply regularly if you still want the effect. This is definitely not for people who prefer a matte finish, cause it makes you glow like you’re supposed to by Korean standards. It’ll be perfect for those with dry skin, who need that extra glowy look because their own skin lacks that.

All in all, pretty satisfied with the set, though not sure of the price. There are better Korean products to try at more affordable prices.

This Glow Recipe Get Glowing With Me Kit is a great way to sample three of Glow Recipe’s popular products. It would also make a nice gift. You get a 40 ml (1.35 oz) Watermelon Glow Toner, 20 ml (.67 oz) Plum Plump Cream, and 15 ml (.5 oz) Hue Drops.

I love that the Watermelon Glow Toner is alcohol free. It has PHA (Gluconolactone) and BHA (Betaine Salicylate), which are more gentle acids. This is great to use after cleansing and before moisturizer.

The Plump Plump Cream has a lightweight feel and is very moisturizing for my normal but maturing skin. It has Prunus Domestica Seed Oil (plum extracts), Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer and Polyglutamic Acid.

The Hue Drops can be used on their own or following the Plump Cream. It is recommended as the final step in a skin care routine after sunscreen. I have tried them before and love them mixed with a foundation that is just a touch light for me. This makes my foundation the perfect color, smoother and more hydrating. I feel like it has just the right amount of shimmer. I find the shade a little dark for my medium light skin on its own, but it’s nice as a contour.

Definitely would recommend this kit. It’s a nice trio of products that help give skin a nice glow.

I love this mini glow recipe set. The perfect size for travel or to see if you like the products or your skin agrees with them.
I have sensitive skin and they were fine on my skin with no ill effects, soreness or break outs after using.
Easy to use products with great scents to them.
I like the glow tinted serum the best, it gives a natural bronzed glowing look and hydrates the skin at the same time.
I will definitely buy more of this brand in the future as I have really enjoyed these three products and will continue to use them in my every day skin care.

I love this product!! It helped tighten my pores and smoothed my skin

I’m fairly light in skin tone. The rose color blends easily on my cheekbones without looking garish. I do have tempermental skin however. Al three items blend naturally without irritation. Will purchase again. No smell that I can detect. Major plus.

The moisturizer glow gives you nice glowing skin

Starter/intro kits are a great way to try new products without breaking the bank or being left with a lot of leftover product if it doesn’t work out for your skin. This kit has a nice assortment of skin products and the best part is the packaging in general. The items are not all in plastic but instead are in glass and it gives a better impression and more quality feel to the kit.

Since this is a collab with an Asian person, it should be noted that the hue drops might not be suited for everyone’s skin tone. I know that when I first pumped out the watermelon glow hue drops-I was extremely surprised at how dark it looked initially. After I rubbed it into my skin though it really just left it with a nice glow, albeit with shimmer if you are into that type of thing. The scent is very nice and indeed smells like watermelon…which makes me think of candy. These hue drops are thicker than I was expecting since it says it is a ‘serum’ but it is more like a lotion consistency.

The plum plump hyaluronic cream has a very light smell that is more like light light rose than a plum scent to me. Regardless, the scent is so faint that you won’t notice it after it is rubbed into your face. I have sensitive and dry skin and this did not irritate or break out my skin. It isn’t overly moisturizing in the sense that I was feeling greasy or weighed down by the evening. My only concern is that the container, while cute, is glass and also because it is a sample size, small so I almost dropped this when I was getting some cream out. The glass is so heavy and the shape small that it’s probably best to put this on a counter or in your palm when you are getting the cream out to avoid an accident.

The toner smells like watermelon candy too but not full on Jolly Rancher watermelon candy strong. It is sweet and light but fades after a little. It is cooling and it was not too drying on my skin. It did not sting or cause any redness, which I normally have to watch for since my skin reacts to a lot of products normally. It helps that there is no alcohol in the toner so it is not so drying.
