Can we first get over the stigma of men using face product? I live in sunny climate; during the summer the UV index is often pegged at “11” (the maximum) for many hours. This takes its toll on your face, even as facial product containing sunscreen is a critical part of your daily routine. I have tried Hyaluronic Acid by itself, I have stacked it with Retinol, I have tried combinations (both in same product); for me, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hyaluronic Acid as a hydrator.

What is new for me here is the addition of Glycolic Acid. Glycolic Acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid which provides gentle exfoliation. This also increases your UV sensitivity; meaning for me this is evening product only. Gentle enough, absorbs nicely, no fragrance (bonus stars for no fragrance). So far, I like it.

Glytone Age Defying Smoothing Cream comes in a pump dispenser which is a little tricky to get started. I had to depress the pump repeatedly for at least 15 to 30 seconds before the product started flowing. Once it was started it was easy to dispense into my hand and it keeps the product cleaner.

The consistency of this is between a cream and a gel. It has a smooth texture that spreads easily for good coverage. It absorbed quickly and did not leave my skin feeling tacky. It did not pill up under sunscreen.

Unfortunately, it is a little too harsh for my skin type. It left me with a burning sensation that was more pronounced than usual. I think the level of AHA’s is just too strong in combination with my other skincare products. I use retinol in the evenings and despite only using the Glytone in the morning I think my skin is just too sensitive. Despite that, this is a nice product, with a great ingredient profile and should work well for folks whose skin isn’t quite as sensitive.

One would hope with a $75 product it would produce the promised results. Word is still out with this one BUT I’ve been using products with hyaluronic acid (HA) for quite some time now and I have found the HA works to reduce the visibility of fine lines. I have also discovered that HA needs to be followed up with sunscreen if I am going to be spending any time outside. This expensive ($75 at the time of this review) product comes in a pump bottle that contains slightly less than 2oz of product. Very little of the cream is needed to spread over the skin and the product feels silky, smooth, and moisturizing. There is no scent so it does not compete with other products (toner etc). It is a very product. I just don’t know if it is worth $75 considering similar products containing HA are available on Amazon which cost much less — and state when the product has not been tested on animals. This one has no such notice so who knows if it has been tested on animals.

This review is from a 57-yr old gal – Hydration is one of my primary skincare focuses. Hyaluronic acid is great for daily plumping/hydration and so I attempt to use in some form in my AM routine.

I didn’t find this cream very hydrating or plumping. Could be because it is also paired with glycolic acid – which of course is more to help even the skin tone and texture. At least for my mature skin, these two acids are fighting against each and thus, I saw no benefit. Maybe better for younger skin….dunno.

Also, I had several issues with the pump. For the price, the pump should work everytime..

I really like this glytone age defying cream. It comes in a handy pump bottle which allows me to do a quick pump for the correct amount I need. It smooths on nicely and hydrates my face. I typically use it at night after my shower. My skin seems to absorb it quickly and it makes my dry skin seem much more soft. It has no scent-which I like. Overall, i really like the cream and despite its high price, will continue to use it.

I am a runner and face is always burnt and wrinkled. This helped my skin looke a little better. It looks firm and not tired it was able to clear some of minor dark spots but that’s about it. It works good on my neck as well. Very moisturizing and I don’t need a lot for it to work. Great product for aging skin, I am 40 years old

I’ve used this product in the past and loved it. I ordered a new one once the bottle was low and when it arrived the pump wouldn’t work. I tried all the trouble shooting from videos and nothing worked. I even poked a paper clip through the bottom but it ended up poking a while through the second chamber. I can’t return it because it’s beyond the return window. Not sure what to do. But super disappointed as this is super expensive face cream.
