Reviewing AIIR Dry Shampoo – Absorb Oils, Adding Volume and Fullness, Fresh Natural Cleanse, Translucent Lightweight Feel, Perfect Before Styling

As far as a dry shampoo goes, this shampoo does its job. It adds volume and absorbs oil. I don’t necessarily love the scent. This dry shampoo leaves a white residue on the hair and needs to be rubbed in so that your hair doesn’t look gray. This is not a criticism, I am merely describing how this dry shampoo absorbs oils. If you have dark hair, the white residue may be an issue. Additionally, the company promotes “purifying properties and soothing aroma, and Selenite, renowned for its cleansing energy and ability to promote clarity.” It’s hard for me to believe that a dry shampoo is going to provide a cleansing energy a promote clarity.

Overall, does this dry shampoo work, yes it does. Is it a nice quality dry shampoo, yes it is. Where I struggle is the price as it performs the same as cheaper dry shampoos I’ve tried and I also struggle with the claims of promoting clarity and energy.

Sooooo much better than the lotion! I was skeptical to try the oil but it has been THE BEST option for my KP skin!!!

If you get KP or the chicken skin condition, the best thing for it is an exfoliating acid like glycolic acid or lactic acid along with moisturizing ingredients. Typically, lotions are used, but you can even get results with a glycolic acid toner. Anything that treats KP usually helps skin appearance and other irritation issues.

This product, instead of the typical lotion, is in body oil format. It goes on a little oily as expected, but it absorbs pretty quickly, especially if you have a few drops of moisture on you post shower or bath. It has an usual scent, having dog rose extract and blue agave extract, which is a bit of an unusual combination to the nose, but they are used to help heal dry skin. This product has NO TEA TREE oil. Those scents combine with the smell that oils always have, but the scent dissipates pretty quickly, so even those who don’t enjoy fragrance are likely to be able to use this unless an allergy is present.

This is a pricey product but it has some premium ingredients, and it works. You can treat your KP with lotion or a glycolic acid toner followed by a lotion for a little less, but if you want a luxurious feeling body oil, this is great. I deducted 1/2 star since it’s not the most economical solution, but if you like a splurge, the ingredients are nice, and it’s enjoyable to use.

Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Glycolide, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Rosa Canina (Dog Rose) Flower Extract, Glycerin, Vitis Vinifera (Grape Seed) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Agave Tequilana (Blue Agave) Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya Fruit Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate

I love glytone- it makes your skin amazingly soft. However, this oil smells like tea tree oil and not what I want to smell like .

First of all, I have KP on the back of my arms, and if you have this (anywhere), you know what a confidence killer it can be. So, I’m always looking for ways to manage the look of it because I know there’s no cure. That being said, exfoliation is a great way to help reduce the appearance and smooth out the rough texture of it, so that’s why I was interested in trying this product. For being a body oil, it absorbed really quickly! It almost reminded me of how a dry body oil feels, so I didn’t feel like it was overly oily or greasy like some old can be. Now, that may have to also do with how much you apply, so keep that in mind. While it’s fragrance free, it has a different smell to it, one which I find to be unpleasant. It smells very chemically to me, and I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. So, it’s not a body oil that you wear because it how it smells rather you use it as a treatment/for what it does for your skin. I will say that this is on the pricier side, so this is something for you to decide if you want to incorporate it into your routine. There are many other lotions and creams out there that contain ingredients to help with KP, all at varying price points. While this has been helpful and keeping the texture of my KP manageable, this isn’t the only product that works for me.

Overall I’m very impressed by this oil. It really is a dry oil and absorbs right into the skin, leaving a non-greasy feel almost immediately after application. Interestingly, I feel the palm of my hand sort of ‘buzz’ or ‘fizz’ while I’m applying it, which tells me this is definitely a strong chemical.

I would NOT start applying this oil twice a day as the packaging instructs, nor will I probably ever; at most once a day, otherwise every few days is best, I think. I plan to apply to my upper arms and backs of thighs after each shower.

The product claims to be odorless and after the oil has absorbed I would agree that there is a negligible scent. However, while applying, it smells very strongly medicinal. I don’t know exactly what the scent is, but it’s definitely there. Still, I think this is worth it. I’m excited to see results!
