I ordered this to take away the frizz from my curls and define them more. I know this is for hair straightening but I see as a result it takes away frizz and loosens curls. I don’t straighten my hair often . I like to wear my hair natural but lately my hair has been very frizzy and I could barely see my curl pattern, not sure how it got like this. The instructions were easy to follow. I recommend not using so much . I thought I used the right amount and took the excess off my hair as the instructions say but I ended up rinsing some out bc the fumes were way too strong. You definitely need to be in a large open space that’s ventilated. I started in my bathroom after 2 minutes I needed to leave. I did it by myself and I have virgin thick 4b /4a hair a little passed shoulder length. I used half the bottle I should’ve used less. I recommend someone helping because I needed to sit in front of my fan and wear a mask, if I had goggles I would use them too because of the strong fumes. I wouldn’t do it by myself again , only to touch up with a little bit. AFTERMATH- I rinsed my hair twice after three days , I love my curls they’re are now defined and no frizz. My curl pattern stayed the same in the back of my hair which was most healthy which I’m glad because I didn’t want to change my pattern just eliminate frizz. The front of my hair was slightly damaged already because of my leave out heat damage so it made it worse, I forgot to section that part off so now it’s basically straight sadly. But it was just the left side. The right side in the front the curls loosened a lot. I think I might’ve had too much product in the front. And my feels more thin which I don’t like, but I know it’s still all my hair because none of my hair fell out. My hair is still 4b/4a, the front is more like 3b, but my curl pattern is naturally looser in the front anyways so it’s not terrible and I believe can be fixed. Overall my hair is more manageable and my curls look like how they used too maybe even better. Refer to the pictures for a before and after.

I don’t leave very many reviews. But this product is so good at what it does, I had to leave a review. Don’t get me wrong this product smell bad, sometimes the fumes are harsh on the eyes as you are straightening it. I will sit by a fan to my face to clear the smell. When they say well ventilated room, don’t take that lightly. Don’t do this in a small closed bathroom. Do it outside if you could with a fan nearby. But even with the harshness of the fumes as will many hair products. It works so well at smoothing and straightening the hair. Freaking magnificent. I will buy this product for the rest of my life.

This was exactly what I was looking for! I used the gold standard and did 6-7 passes with my iron at 410 and left it for the full 3 days. Being mixed ethnicity, my hair is very fine, very coily (4a), prone to dryness, and has been colored—so I worry about damage but these parameters worked perfectly to straighten my hair and left it looking and feeling super healthy. The attached photo is immediately after washing out the treatment on day 3 and AIR drying.
I’m military and need to be able to wrestle my hair into a tidy bun daily without taking too much time or pulling a ton of it out. This product did precisely what I needed it too, and that was straighten my hair as much as possible and faster drying. It has a chemical smell but less than other keratin treatments I’ve used. Compared with GK, this was more effective, more affordable, and burned my eyes less. Note: I do my treatment outside with two powerful fans to aid in ventilation and use gloves. Depending on how long it stays straight this will be my new go to.
Pros: effective to straighten coils, simple instructions, less chemical smell than some, less eye irritation than others
Cons: more time consuming than others (need to blow-dry twice)

This was my first time ever trying a keratin treatment, so I applied it myself at home. The entire process took HOURS to do with little breaks. Applying it was the worst part, for me, the fumes started as I blow-dried; feeling like I was suffocating, my nose would start to run, with burning eyes (my eyes were red after) even while using a fan and opening the door. So out of laziness, my first wash was two weeks later. During that time I sweated at the gym and was in humidity; my hair stayed soft, smooth, and lightweight. After washing, my hair was not completely straight. It still has some texture, takes longer to revert fully but I use MUCH less product and the I love the manageability of my hair after this treatment. Normally my hair is thick, but after this treatment, it does not look as full. I hope this product lasts 3-6 months before my next application (I only used half of the bottle).
Following the directions, the application was tedious but absolutely worth it.
Con: time spent applying (I have a lot of hair), sensations while applying (eyes, nose, throat
: almost began to feel sick).
Pro: manageability, less time needed for styling, no frizz, very smooth, still allows for versatility
UPDATE: second application did not take as long to apply. BUT I would highly recommend only treating your new growth for your second treatment. The reason for adding this statement is because during my second application I applied this to my entire head which resulted in my ends being overprocessed (to straight) and then eventually hair started falling out in large chunks from the mid ends down. I am now stretching my next application for 6 months to wash this out and give my hair a break.
I liked the ease of doing my hair and the time-saving aspect but if I have another bad experience during my third application I will no longer apply this to my hair.
