I wonder if I got a bad batch because this does not smell anything remotely like a face cleanser should, and it feels like I’m washing my face with watered down hand soap. There’s no cooling effect that I would normally get with a product that has witch hazel and acids in it. I don’t even know how to describe the smell. It does not have an herbal or astringent scent that face cleansers typically have. The smell is off-putting and kind of gross, and every time I wash my face I kind of wonder if I’m using some old soap that came from a janitor’s closet. Hand soaps in public park bathrooms smell better than this.

The cleanser does smell strongly of witch hazel so be aware of that, which can be off putting at times but the cleanser was alright. It made my skin feel smooth at first till I notice it would give me bumps on my forehead and my cheeks. Might be because of the witch hazel but I’m not allergic to it. Which confuses me but if witch hazel does not affect you this would be a good product for you

My face turned red after using this product, I suspect it is the witch hazel extract. It’s not itchy and doesn’t burn, it’s just hot. Does anyone else have this experience?

First, I love how affordable this product this. Secondly, it last a long time. I purchased back in May and I am still using it. I am definitely going to reorder. Lastly, it does work! It helps wash away dirt, it is fast to use (30 seconds) and it does treat pimples that do pop up for me.
