I’ve tried several of these, however this it my favorite. It’s well made, the bristles are strong, and the slight angle its at makes it easy to use. It’s great for the price. 10/10 would recommend. I would note though, if you have very delicate skin this may be a bit too rough, I personally found all the others I’ve tried to be to soft, but its up to personal preference.

I first purchased the Goop DryBrush in June 2023. I loved it, it was perfect!
I wanted a replacement after leaving it in the shower for too long. The one I received yesterday was completely different, the bristles were soft and easy to bend. Returned.

Loved the experience of the dry brush. Body lotion absorbs much better

This is my first time experiencing using a dry brush. I’d never even heard of one before. I had a total knee replacement and even after 2 months of recovery time my operated leg was still super scaly even putting lotion on it. Every day flakes were all over my sheets and it was embarrassing to have my PT and others see my leg. Plus the color of my leg was very red since all the capillaries were at the surface and the pores were trapped shut from all the dry skin so the toxins couldn’t get out of my leg. A friend of mine who is a PT suggested a dry brush. This picture is after using it just one time. You can see the color is now almost normal. It feels so much healthier and is glowing. I chose Goop brand because I’ve listened to Gwenyth and she impresses me with her quality. There are $9.99 brushes out there, but I wanted to be sure I got a high quality brush since my leg has been slow to heal. It is extremely well made. The bristles are softer than I expected, but stiff enough to get the exfoliation going. Cheaper ones complained the bristles were painful and abrasive. I sure didn’t want that. There is a warning not to use it over sores or scars so just remember that and steer clear of those areas. I don’t take it anywhere near my scar. Highly recommend this brush and looking forward to seeing how much better my leg will look and feel after a few more treatments.

  5. Sorry no covers!!

This dry brush really really works on my dry flaky skin. I like that it has helped my circulation as well. Only negative is that it is a little pricy. I would highly recommend.

Been looking for a dry brush with natural fibres. These have been great. Have sensitive skin, and this has been the most gentle dry brush I’ve been able to find.

  7. Blurryface

Great for gripping. Says not to use it on face

I just received this brush today and since it’s for dry brushing, figured I’d try it out now, although I bought it to use before my morning shower in hopes of a more effective and less harsh exfoliation than body scrubs. Except for my face, I never considered myself to have sensitive skin, so I didn’t put too much thought into what dry brush to buy, and to be honest, I have never tried one and didn’t read up on a good one to buy. I have never bought anything from Goop because I already have skincare that works well for me. I felt like this brush was not too pricey for something carrying Goop’s name so maybe it would be a little nicer than all the $6-ish ones that my Amazon search turned up. I mean, right? The bristles are from a fancy sounding plant so thus must be fancy. Or at least luxurious feeling.

Yeah so this might be where me being brand new and inexperienced with dry brushing comes in. I never gave it much thought but if a brush is really soft it probably won’t work well for skin exfoliation. But I still expected a luxurious experience in getting my skin ready for a nice body cream somehow.

Um….OUCH? This brush is quite stiff and firm. Hard and scratchy. At no time did anything about it feel “soft”. I took one swipe up my lower leg (“in the direction of the heart”) and yowwww, it scratched. So I brushed a few more stokes with as light of a hand possible and as I watched the cloud of unexfoliated virgin skin poof off, all I could think was “Yikes, this feels bad. Very bad. Very very bad, even. It would definitely energize me before my shower because pain is not something I enjoy!”

My favorite part of this brush is the handle, because it’s the part that does not touch my skin. It’s a fine size. That’s all I’ve got.

I am now going to try a few other brushes to see if this is just how dry brushing is or if I can maybe find a brush that feels a lot better, even if it’s bristles aren’t from a super exclusive fancy plant or shrub or tree or thicket or whatever this actually is. It left actual scratches on my very dry leg. I can’t imagine using this on my stomach or arms, I can believe it will work great as a back scratcher! Actually it might even feel divine and I might stop asking my daughter to scratch my back or to buy me one of those plastic hands on a stick that my grandmother had in the 1980s. But as for this brush being used to dry brush my body, I’m just not sure I want to. It will definitely get the bumps and scaliness off but it might take more skin than that off, ouch ouch ouch. I’ll see how it does before a proper shower and some body oil or body butter but if it stays THIS uncomfortable after about 3 days, I’m going back to the rock salt-like body scrubs that at least don’t hurt, or possibly just back to a very unfancy washcloth. I give it 3 stars just for the fancy sounding source of the brustles suckering me in. This might go to the bathroom gadget graveyard. (Seriously, are there people out there who truly don’t think this feels like a brillo pad???)

I have never used a dry brush for exfoliation, but I have found it to be very beneficial after using this brush. This particular brush is terrific. The bristles are still firm, even after several uses, and the curved handle makes it easy to reach my back. This brush is pricy, but if it holds up long-term as it has thus far, I will consider it to be well worth the price.
