I had weight loss surgery in 2017 and lost about 50% of my hair. While some has grown back, my hair is much thinner than it used to be and since I have grown it out, it has become very difficult for me to achieve any kind of volume. I went to a hairstylist and had an updo done for a gala and they used a volumizing powder and I was stunned at what it did for my hair. While it was not this brand, it was incredible. I purchased this brand as it was more gentle on my wallet, and I didn’t get my hopes up too high. I was amazed at the volume I achieved from this powder!!!! I finally found out how to have my hair look the way it does when you walk out of the salon. I never thought my hair would look this great and because of that I cannot recommend this enough! It’s a little sticky, and is white upon application, but it dissolve into your hair nicely leaving no residue behind. (I’m a brunette). I highly recommend this for anyone looking for volume and style!

Finally, a product that adds volume and body to my thin, flat hair. Using it takes some practice. After blow drying my hair of which I only use a drop of hair oil on because it is dry, I shake some on my fingertips, not a lot or it’s wasted before you get your hands to your roots and work it in lightly. I’ve learned not to overwork it. It creates a full look on short hair quickly. Using a hair pic’ I style my hair and use hair spray to hold. The next day my hair style has held, and I’ve not had to add more powder. It is easy to just comb or pic’ out to freshen and spray to hold. I live in a hot/humid climate and hair spray is a must. I have found it not to be sticky or like lacquer. Must say it appears to leave a grayish cast to hair but since mine is gray doesn’t bother me. Great product and will order again!

Ever since I discovered root styling powder, I’m obsessed with the body and fullness it gives my hair. I have very thin, fine limpy hair. My trick in using this is that put a dab of smoothing hair cream in my palm with a tiny squirt of styling gel plus sprinkle this root styling powder. I mix it between both hands then run my hands through my towel squeezed wet hair before blow drying. My hair instantly becomes fuller and has more body while blow drying. My hair style stays better with this. I also put a little on my finger tips and run my fingers through my roots the next day to give it more fullness. It’s magical. I’ve used a different brand before but it was too expensive. I tried this brand and it’s the same but way less expensive. Great product!

I have thin hair which doesn’t hold my short style without a ton of hairspray. But I hate the “glued down” look. A bit of this product at the roots and you have instant volume without a helmet head. Throughout the day you can fluff at the roots and Shazam, instantly great hair! Love this stuff!

This stuff is wild. It doesn’t feel like a powder. It has an oddly cool moist sensation and appears to be small fibers that become very sticky once you put it on your hair. It would likely work great for women/men with short hair that want an alternative to traditional gel. I was looking for a powder dry shampoo/texture product. This stuff is way too sticky for my fine shoulder-length hair. It makes my hair look like I haven’t brushed it in a month when it’s first applied. I like that it gives it texture and makes it look thicker, but I can’t brush through it without ripping my hair. I found that if I put this on and then dust my hair with actual dry shampoo powder, it helps absorb some of the gel-like moisture in this product…and then my hair does look thicker.
