This review is for GUGUG Hair Dryer Negative Ionic Blow Dryer with 1600W, Professional High Speed Ionic Blow Dryer. In July 2024, this product was very expensive at the selling price of one hundred sixty-nine dollars, then the price was reduced to one hundred nineteen dollars (still expensive), and at time of review in August 2024, the selling price is a more reasonable sixty dollars. This is a well made hair dryer with current technology. This product consists of the hair dryer and one nozzle attachment. The hair dryer is compact, sturdy, medium weight, easy to use, and has good airflow. The nozzle is very easy to attach and remove since it has a magnet.
The upper slider control has the off setting and turns on when selecting one of the two air flow levels (medium and high). The lower push button controls the four heat selections by successive pushes to the button; the heat levels are indicated by different LED colors on the end of the dryer (blue = cool/low heat; yellow = medium heat; red = high heat; and rotating color blue-purple-red lights for pulsing/cycling heat from low-medium-high heat). The air flow settings are fairly windy and it would be useful if the dryer also had a slightly lower air level. The low heat setting is slightly heated air, and the other two heat settings are fairly hot, especially the high heat setting. It is unique and useful to have the cycling heat setting going from low to high. The placement of control buttons is not as intuitive as it could be; having the on-off/airflow control on the bottom where the finger goes first would be more intuitive (the finger lands on the heat control push button instead). The dryer is fairly quiet and dries hair quickly. It could benefit from a diffuser attachment, especially at this price point.

Impressive blow dryer!
This blow dryer is absolutely phenomenal. We picked it to use for dog grooming, and love it.
The function is just like a traditional dryer. It has a switch for off/low/high fan speeds. On high, it pushes an impressive amount of air.
The temperature control is a button on the handle. It has 5 temperature settings: cold (no heat at all, just air!) warm, medium, high, and cycle. The fan has an led light ring that glows according to the heat setting its on; blue, yellow, orange, red or cycle.
On high this thing puts out some heat! The no heat setting is awesome for the dogs or anywhere you don’t want hot air.
The cycle setting for the heat is a nice feature and can prevent overheating your hair etc. When selected, the temperature cycles through all of the heat settings from cold to low to high, then repeats. This means you get no heat for about 2 seconds, low heat for 2 seconds, medium for 2 seconds, and high for 2.
The kit comes with the blow dryer and 1 optional blower attachment that’s held in place with magnets. The attachment has special fins built in that help increase airflow volume. The dryer can be used with or without the attachment, but you’ll get the best airflow with it on the dryer.
My only complaint is about the magnetic blower attachment and how easily it can be knocked off during use. It became an issue when I barely bumped it and it went into the toilet bowl on the first use.

This little workhorse of a blow dryer is AMAZING! I have RA so my hands get really sore, making it difficult to style my own hair since it’s pretty long. I got this hair dryer in the hope that it might be easier to work with since it is smaller and more compact, and I was right! This little hairdryer is incredible at how fast it is able to dry my long hair! And I’m so happy that my hair finally gets dry before my hands are burning so badly that I can no longer hold the dryer! This works so well! I love it so much that I have told all of my friends who have RA about this little dryer. This is definitely a MUST HAVE if you need a dryer that is light weight but can dry fast!

Considering the price I paid with a coupon, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The dry time is roughly the same for me but I have naturally curly hair and use a diffuser. I was able to purchase a compatible one as pictured and it works great! This tells me the dimensions of this dryer are equal to that of the name brand one, which I’ve never used. It is fairly loud but I’m not bothered. I removed a star for noise and lack of diffuser attachment. I would not have paid full price without the diffuser and would have kept on searching for one with a diffuser. The bottom line is I’ve had great hair days since using this dryer with the diffuser attachment. This is my first experience with this style of hair dryer. I needed a new one and that’s typically a long search involving some returns & exchanges but not this time. I love the heat cycle feature and and the light display indicates the selected temp making it easy to know when you’re standing in front of a mirror. The heat select button is easy to use but also easy to accidentally bump. The included concentrator attachment is sturdy and attaches well but I don’t use it. The casing is plastic and not metal as someone else stated in their review. But it’s well made and not cheap. As long as it holds up, I’m happy. I paid around $50 and feel that was reasonable as I needed to purchase a separate diffuser.
