It does exactly what I wanted it to do, cover a small chip in a tooth to avoid my cheek from getting cut. Will it stay in place…that’s debatable. It doesn’t stick to the tooth very well, especially if that tooth comes in contact with other teeth. And you definitely have to remove it when you eat or you’ll swallow it. But it has allowed my jaw to heal, which I love. Didn’t notice that there was a mint option. Wish I had. So this one is a good/bad for me. But I would buy again…in mint.

I just got braces, so my mouth isn’t used to them. This wax helps me when i eat, it prevents my braces from scraping my cheek and causing pain. They are cut into small pieces, which makes it rather easy to use because you don’t have to cut it yourself. Also, the little cases they come with are small and portable, and aren’t easily broken.

I’m no stranger to irritation from a wire in need of a trim or a loose bracket. I’ve been through orthodontic treatment twice. It’s been almost a decade since I was last de-bonded but I found myself needing *something* to deal with a wire that popped loose from my permanent retainer. End of summer/back to school meant I had a bit of a wait to see my ortho. Gum Orthodontic Wax to the rescue! I opted for a single pack as I don’t anticipate needing more than that moving forward, but I strongly suggest getting a 6 pack order to save money if you’ve just started an orthodontic journey. The pre-cut wax gives you just the right amount to cover a pokey wire. And this wax is surprisingly strong! Maybe I lucked out due to the position of the wire, but I didn’t have any issues with it slipping or coming lose. I certainly wouldn’t eat with it on, but I had no problems drinking. This wax worked better than anything I was given by my orthos in the past, which the exception of Guishy-Goo (which was tremendously helpful when I had a TAD implant during my 2nd round of braces).
