My favorite one to use is the serum. I like how smooth the whole set leaves my hair feeling. I also like the scent of the the product. I feel this is salon quality and a little bit goes a long way.

This “Hair Alchemy Discovery Set” is a (sampler?) pack of 3 VERY SMALL containers: a shampoo, a conditioner, and a serum. The shampoo bottle is large enough for probably about 3 uses. The conditioner bottle is large enough for only about 2 uses (I used more than half of it on the first use). The serum will probably last much longer though as much less is needed per use. So, $52 for 3 travel-sized containers in which the conditioner will be gone after two uses seems a little extreme. As for the product…
The shampoo has a pleasant scent; to me it was a lemon-y scent. It barely lathered though — and I worked at it a lot to try to get it to lather. When I say barely, I mean the lather was almost non-existent, which made it difficult to disperse and therefore I needed to use more of it than I would a shampoo that lathers a normal amount. Because of that I thought it might not actually be cleansing, but to my surprise, it did actually clean my hair well.
The conditioner had a much subtler scent. It also had a safety protective seal on it. Neither the shampoo nor the serum had protective seals so I though that was odd. After rinsing, it left my hair feeling a bit “sticky”, but I could still brush through it easily when wet.
After gently towel drying my hair, I applied the serum to one half of my hair. It left my hair a bit less frizzy than the side with no serum (to be clear, the products did not leave my hair frizzy, it’s just usually frizzy due to the extremely dry climate I live in).
Overall, after using, my hair feels decent and pretty soft. However, I’d say about the same as most other shampoo/conditioner sets I have tried for much less. So, the set has some quirks, in the end my hair feels nice, though I don’t think nice enough to justify $52 for 3 travel-size containers.

I love the shampoo. It left my hair feeling so soft and smooth. The conditioner was equally good. I liked how manageable and how it made my hair feel so refreshed and back to its roots. I wasn’t a fan of the serum, though. I don’t like the way it feels on my hair. Overall, this kit is very expensive, but if you have the money, it’s worth a try.

This Hair Alchemy Discovery Set is quite lovely. My two daughters and I have all used it. It smells so lovely and it made all of our hair very manageable. I wish the larger bottles weren’t too expensive for my budget.

I was a little disappointed in the size of the bottles. That really is my only complaint. The shampoo and conditioner smell really good and left my hair smelling great and feeling clean.

I have lived with thin, fine hair my entire 55+ years. I have spent $1,000’s of dollars on hair products of all kinds. I have tried drugstore products, stalon exclusive products, online exclusive products. Products that cost a couple bucks, to $100’s. I guess I could say I am somewhat of a connoisseur of hair products. Full transparency, the picture is from today, and the first time I tried this product.
1. I noticed a difference in the feel of my hair when rinsing the shampoo out (I used like a nickel sized dollop) that my hair felt “bigger” or fuller.
2. The scent is very mild. Nice and clean.
3. I used the same amount of conditioner, but a smaller dime sized dollop of the serum.
I could feel the difference when I was applying the serum. My hair felt healthier, fuller, stronger.
I had a client of mine ask if I had gone swimming… “No” I replied “Why?”. They said, “you just look refreshed!”
