I only need a small amount of powder to achieve an invisible matte effect on hair styling that keeps its hold and volume for most, if not the entire day. For this product to perform at its best, having some length of hair (not short) allows for optimal styling and effect. I have seen reviewers with short hair disliking this type of product, which really stands to reason because it is not really effective for short hair. I absolutely love this product and will happily buy another!

Bought for my 12 year old son, who loves gel, but hates the stickiness. He has thick hair that is hard to style & this does the job very well indeed. My 10 year old also love it. He has very fine hair which he doesn’t need to battle with, but he enjoys the hold provided by the powder.

Product has a poor design for shipping. There was powder all over the inside of the box and doesn’t have any hold at all when styling. Kinda like putting baby powder in your hair.

So I recently grew my hair out, think baseball flow meets euro cut. I always wear a hat but found that on some occasions, I actually need to “do” my hair so I bought the monkey powder.
After a good washing, dry your hair well, then shake a little of the powder on your hands. It’s a similar look and feel to baby powder. You then just rub the powder through your hair or use a brush to evenly spread it.
From there, go about styling. I’ll say that the stuff makes your hair hold. Stick it up, it stays up. Want it down, it stays down. Super funky…. You can do that too!
The thing I don’t like is how it makes your hair feel. It leaves hair very sticky feeling. Hopefully your girlfriend doesn’t like running her fingers through your hair because they will stick.
Maybe it’s good for a guy heading to the club for the night…. Just make sure you shower before any hair pulling starts!
