It controls shine for a little while. But it’s also incredibly runny when it comes out. A few times in the AM I’ve had to throw away 2-3 more uses because it came gushing out (and I wasn’t fully awake to stop it).

Switched from buzzing to shaving recently, and was looking for a lotion to produce a matte look. This does take away the shine, especially if applied directly after shaving or showering. Most reviews I’ve read here mentioned the liquid consistency, but even so I was surprised upon the first use by how thin this truly is. You’ll get a handful if you give it a squeeze, and a little bit of this is all you need. If the tube had a more restrictive cap this would be greatly improved. The lotion itself is great, moisturizing with a slight minty scent that doesn’t linger. Very good product in the wrong dispenser.
