This is my first time ordering this type of product. Admittedly I am a search engine snob lol. At my DIl recommendation I searched for the one I thought would work best. I am already seeing a difference! My hair is glowing faster than it ever has! This brush is easy to use, easy to clean, and is very durable. Don’t think, just buy it!! (Btw: I came back here to buy another one for my travel kit and shower. And this is an honest review.

I have very thick hair, and have been having issues with the humidity and heat in the summer weather. Basically kind of a cradle cap. I purchased this and make sure to gently scrub and the difference was notable right away. Daily use is enjoyed I get a great scalp massage, and have ended the problem!

I am honestly not sure what the buzz was about. It’s likely a problem with me and not the tons of people who have all given this great reviews, but I might as well be honest and say that this honestly felt like trying to scrub my scalp with one of those plastic novelty balls kids play with, only if the ball was tiny, hard as a rock, and hated you.
The silicone bristles don’t get into or massage your scalp at all in my experience. It felt somewhat like rubbing my head with the flat base of a shampoo bottle. I tried with it for a while but replaced it with something that has actual bristles eventually and would never get this again.

I was hoping the silicon nubs would be a bit softer, but they’re rather harsh on my scalp. Maybe I’m sensitive. I bought this to help in keeping my seborrhea under control (I get a waxy, oily build up easily in a mere couple of days and using my fingers to scrub isn’t quite enough) and this looked like a good idea to use with my medicated shampoo. The first time I used it felt rounded sticks going across my scalp, not as pleasant as I was hoping for with a description like massage in the sales pitch.
My only other beef with it is that it comes apart. I noticed that the pad wobbled a little when I used it while showering so I examined it and it popped apart when I probed it with a fingernail. It didn’t break, the two components just popped apart. But, it was easy to pop back together, too. It think it may be designed that way so if water gets trapped in there you can get it out so it doesn’t get nasty and rotten and you can keep it clean. It stays together while I’m using it, anyways, with no problems.
There’s a handle, of sorts, that slips between your fingers that you hold while using it to scrub your scalp–very easy to use and the curved body of the back fits into my hand nicely. Good design, there, in my opinion.
So the only real issue is the hardness of the silicone nubs–they’re a bit harsh. I got used to them, though. My scalp is definitely squeaky clean afterwards, at least. I’ll give it that. As for any “massaging” effect, though, not so much.
