I was a little hesitant to try this as I can be pretty picky with moisturizers. However, I am a fan of most Herbivore products so opted to give this a shot and am glad that I did.
Depending on the season, my skin can vary from normal to leaning dry to combination so I’m a little all over the board. My skin is not typically very sensitive but I do have an occasional breakout that clears pretty quickly.
The mattifying effect that this claims to have, I can’t really attest to as I don’t generally have an issue with being overly shiny so I didn’t notice any change. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t do it, just that it wasn’t noticeable with my particular skin type.
What I do love about this stuff is that when my skin was a bit angry with me (stress, lack of sleep, not washing my face properly, etc.), this did definitely seem to calm it down. The color is, I assume, from the Blue Tansy and the consistency is a soft, lightweight cream that absorbs really easily and doesn’t seem to have any issues under makeup either. The packaging is really nice and looks great on the vanity if you choose to store it there. There are many moisturizers that are at a much higher price point than this and aren’t as effective. Consistent with other Herbivore products I found this to be a good product for a good value that does what it says along with unique ingredients.

I can literally tell when my boyfriend sneakily uses this cream of mine because his face feels so soft! It is a great light cream that does not clog my pores and irritate my extremely sensitive skin. This paired with their cleanser I have on subscribe and save because of how often I use them. I LOVE how it makes my skin instantly feel like a babys butt. If it wasn’t so pricey I would lather this on my entire body haha

As a scleral contact lens wearer, I swear by this moisturizer it’s the best I have used in a long time. I get it as a refill with every box.
I have had to curate a very strick skin care routine to prevent midday fogging of my contact lens and this doesn’t fog up my lens at all. I will keep using it as my skin loves it too. For cleanser I use colourpop’s double shift cleanser, for serum I use the fade gel 6 and the volition strawberry serum, moisturizer I use the aquarius cream and laneige. Sunscreen black girl sunscreen.
