Love this stuff been using it for years. I don’t have a giant beard (think like a number 3 or 4 on the clippers) but I like to put some product in it to keep it looking groomed. This stuff is amazing. All you need is a little on your fingernail and then you rub it in your palms to warm it up, then apply. It smells fantastic and helps tame any of those hairs that get out of place. While it looks like a small tin it will last for months. I use it every day and can make it 5-6 months on one tin. Highly recommended.

They seemed to have changed from a small burlap sack to a little cardboard box for packaging. Initial scent impression is a homely organic smell. The four essential oil smells are Cedarwood, anise, clove, and lavender. I can only really make out the Cedar and the anise, though the anise is more pronounced. I’ll be honest I hate the smell of licorice, but because of the other oils it isn’t a distinctly licorice smelling product. Funny enough, old antique store is probably the best description of the smell I’ve read and seems actually the most accurate. It’s not bad nor would I say the best smelling product, but absolutely unique. An old manly scent I would say. The girlfriend likes it and I myself am comfortable with it. Like pretty much all balms and oils I’ve encountered the scent fades after awhile so it isn’t a huge deal.
This beard wax is noticeably harder than any balm, takes just a tad longer to dissolve in hand but it will dissolve. Feels slightly like a fiber or putty hair cream and like one it doesn’t have a high shine, which I very much enjoy. So much more of a matte look compared to a balm but still a hint of shine.
I have maybe a medium length beard, less than four inches at the chin but getting close, at my length I use about a thumbnail and a half, so I do need more than I use with a balm. In terms of hold it is distinctly stronger than a balm but it is not anywhere near as strong as mustache wax. Medium hold is very accurate. It seems to hold fine a fair amount through the day, but again, comparing to a mustache wax it will not last an entire day and into the next like some waxes. But it really shouldn’t be expected to as far as I’m concerned. Styling is doable but as to turing your curly beard straight it’s not gonna happen with this. My beard is wavy and atleast for two hours or so it helps give it a straighter appearance but still not straight.
It also should be noted that unlike a balm this really isn’t a conditioning product as it’s harder to get on the skin and doesn’t make the beard as soft as balm. Since it’s all natural I don’t expect it to damage it, but I have been using this as more of a going out on the town product or if I’m looking to make myself a bit more presentable. Not as a treatment product.
The only reason I didn’t give it four stars was because the smell is simply different, hard to describe, and not exactly what I’m looking for in terms of scent.
Had it even had the smell I still wouldn’t give it 5 because the hold is still lacking as to what I hoped, as I dislike the extreme hold and difficulty of mustache wax.

As explained by many others, you need only a little bit else the beard might clog and have some sort of residue. It Helps to soften my beard and lasts the entire day, though in my opinion it wont help you in styling the beard. Overall – Good product.

Advertised as a wax, feels like a wax to apply (kind of uncomfortable and uneven), but somehow has more of of the overall benefit of a balm. Darkens hair follicles a bit and keeps wirey hair uniform to the face once combed, but any hair longer than half an inch in need of styling won’t be tamed for long after about an hour. Has a pleasant but strong black licorice smell to it. It think it’s great, but flies like it too if you’re working outside, mosquitoes don’t like it though. The only way property that I can describe to you is that it doesn’t seem to moisturize, which for me is great. Most balms are greasy and make me itch in the summer, but this doesn’t and it repels sweat. Makes hair very shiny too. I don’t feel strongly either way about this product, but it’s definitely not bad.

My husband loves this beard wax. Our store used to carry it but now they only have balm & oil so when my husband found this wax here he started getting it here. It has a slight sticky texture, but it smalls great. It also conditions his beard while holding the style in his beard.

私のアゴ髭は４cmくらいで、毛並みはそろっていませんが、１日キープするホールド力があります。ホールド力は阪本高生堂のクールグリースぐらいだと思います。髭は硬いので完全に毛並みをそろえるとまではいきませんが満足しています。ナチュラルな香りがします。香りは薬草や蜜蝋のような感じですが、臭くはないです。セットのあと、手に残ったものを洗うのに少しだけ手間があります。石鹸を使わないといけません。水性グリースの様に水ですぐに落ちません。ポマードのような感じです。使用感に不満はなく満足しています。ただ、高いなーと思いながら買いました。
