This straightener does straighten my hair quicker than usual. I just notice there’s always a weird little burn smell with their products. The size is like any other straightener you’d come across. There’s a gap in this straightener which sometimes gets in the way of the smoothness of going over your hair as it can get caught in there. But overall I really do enjoy the effectiveness of this straightener.

This is a very nice and well-built kind of straightener and with it being a Helen of Troy (HOT) tool, I was expecting an iron that has a pretty high max temperature and I was not disappointed. HOT does a good job of making it hot enough to straighten my hair without damaging it. There is a very delicate balance and this gives me the ability to have better control over it, enabling me to style it the way that I want without causing any permanent harm to my hair. It has some good ergonomics, it isn’t too heavy, it works well, and it should hold up for a while. The only downside that I see is that I wish it was just a smidge cheaper concerning the MSRP.
