Finally found the perfect wand for my hair type! Love this curling wand and use it all the time now, I have medium length hair and isn’t to thin or to thick and this wand still curls my hair the way I want it to especially for it being a 1 1/4 inch , I haven’t found a curling iron or wand to do my curls how I wanted, I wanted more of a curl/wave now to curly but also don’t want my curls to fall out in a few hours after doing my hair , I didn’t like the tapered ones and I wanted something quicker than a regular curling iron and this is perfect for a nice curl or wave! Love this product and cheaper price than in store or beauty supply stores

My hair is a little stubborn so not every curling wand works, but this one does the job well! The loose curls stay in place all day and look great. The wand is also easy to use. No more worrying about loosing hair due to clamps!

I had the older version of the hot tools wand with the grey barrel and I absolutely loved it and used it for years! I used it so much that it ended up dying on me, so I bought this one, since they discontinued the old model :(. This one sucks to say the least. I was very disappointed. I spent 3 hours on my hair (because it’s so thick) and it looked horrible. My hair was frizzy right after I finished and it didn’t hold the curl that well. Luckily I found someone selling their old wand somewhere else, thank god! I hope hot tools will come back with the old version because their new wands don’t work that well, especially not on mixed hair. They must be made out of a different material or something.

Love love love it!! I have middle back length hair and I can curl my whole head in 5 minutes with loose curls. Hold handle up in sky with curling iron pointing down for best results. use smaller sections for tighter curls. Higher heat for more lasting curls. My hair no longer gets stuck in the flipper. My hair has an annoying frizzy wavy-ish look when air dried. I know let me hair air dry at night, wake up to a hot mess, curl in 5 minutes and I get compliments all the time.
Only negative is I wish it had an automatic shut off.

Heats up quick and helps my hair hold big loose wavy curls well (with the additional use of hair spray- my hair does NOT hold a curl well) and I love this product. I was looking for a tool that could make looser curls and this gets the job done!

The temperature dial says it goes up to 420, but I don’t believe it gets nearly that hot. I find that it now takes me almost double the time to “curl” my hair, but because it doesn’t get hot enough, I end up with a slight wave – not a curl by any means. I also find that the little stand that is attached to it, to keep it from touching the counter, gets in the way when curling my hair. As well, the top 1 inch (almost 1.5 inch) doesn’t heat up, so there really isn’t much room for your hair on the barrel.
I would say I am disappointed with this purchase, as the reviews seemed to be good. I will be looking for a new wand to use in the future, and would not suggest this for anyone who is doesn’t have an hour of extra time in the morning to spend doing their hair. I used to use a Revlon wand, and even with my thick, long hair, it took maybe 25 minutes to style my hair.. now it takes 45 to an hour.

Super awesome wand! Heats up fast, easy to use and I appreciate how the on/off switch isn’t where my thumb naturally rests while using this curler. My hair is medium thickness, fine textured and about 18-22inches long. This curler helped me get loose, natural looking curls. I used this curler on my mother who has thin, fine textured hair that is usually very dry and kept at shoulder length. I just curled the top layer of her hair (to give it some “oomph”) and it turned out perfect – her hair had killer volume and the curls were loose enough to look natural.
