This combination flat iron and curling iron from Hot Tools Pro Artist line is incredible! I’ll go through a few of my favorite features so far!
One of the things that I am most excited about is this iron heats up almost immediately – I plugged it in to heat up while I was getting dressed. Turned it on, put my jeans on and it beeped it was ready! I couldn’t believe it!!
I’ve also noticed there are zero snag points on the barrel due to the seamless design. I love this for my hair! So many irons have spots that my hair gets snagged on. I’ve owned a lot of dual products in the past, and often found that they still have one thing they do best and the other not as good. With this iron, I can truly say it straightens just as well as it curls!
Another bonus is the length of the wand! I have thick mid back length hair and this wand is long enough that I can easily wrap even my longest layers around the barrel. The temperature dial is unique and feels so luxe! You simply spin the dial at the bottom to set it to the exact temperature you want.
The only downside is I don’t see an auto off feature on this or mentioned in the booklet. Other than that, this is my current favorite hair tool for my beachy waves look!

Usually I will only straighten my hair, but for the rare occasions that I want to curl my hair, it’s not really worth storing a whole another tool in my vanity drawer. But with this tool – I have both in one, without taking up the extra space.
It gets hot super quickly and gets the job done. My curls or straightness lasts almost all day on my fine hair.

Purchased this 2 in 1 flat iron and curler from Amazon. I will say that the iron gets hot quickly and that it looks sharp with the turn dial for temperature and the color. I also like the long cord and barrel…. But for me, I wasn’t sure if my particular product was defective or if all the hot tools 2 in 1 flat iron and curlers were like this. Mine didn’t close fully with the plates touching. I have thin hair, so as a flat iron it did not clamp down all the way. But when I added more hair it did do a good job as a curler. I will order another and see if it’s the same issue. Other wise this is a great 2 in 1.

I loved how professional the product looked. It was my first time trying a curler and a hair straightener with the same tool and I am highly disappointed. The product is very light which is why there isn’t enough weight on the hair to straighten perfectly; some parts remain wavy and do not get straightened. The surface area which the flat sides cover is very less so it take a long time to get perfect straight hair. The wand is also too long that makes it hard to straighten the hair. The other issue is with the curling. If you hold the hair between the flat halves and try to curly, dents show up on the hair. So One needs to hold the hair with fingers on the outer side of the wand and curl it up yourself, which is hard for short hair. The curling wand is good for long hair and not for those with short hair.

This 2 in 1 is great as a curling iron but be careful using it as a straightener. Since it doesn’t have that extra lip on the sides like a traditional flatiron it’s a lot easier to get to close especially when you’re flattening down to the roots of your hair. A few other people mentioned this but if you’re used to flatironing your hair in very thin sections you may have to increase the section size due to the plates not closing flat. They are great irons otherwise. I like the long handle so the clamper isn’t in the way when you’re flatironing. Nice product.

I loved the idea of the versatility of this curl/straight styler. And it does a great job of curling, but falls a little flat for straightening. Now I’m not saying it doesn’t work because it does but it doesn’t have the heating ability of a flat iron, so it takes a little more time and doesn’t have the guard to protect your scalp, so keep that in mind. It has a nice grip and is a nice smooth glide when using and creates amazing curls.

This tool is great for curling, but it falls short on straightening. The heat just doesn’t get high enough for my thick hair. It’s a versatile styler, but it’s not the best choice if you need a powerful straightener.

I have long hair that has developed a natural wave to it. I am an older woman and my hair is fine and is mostly gray/white. This iron worked well on my hair and did not seem to cause any breakage or damage. Use the enclosed heat glove while using this product! I like that it is both a curler and straightener. I have never been able to master using a flatiron/straightener to curl my hair like they do in the beauty shop. I like the versatility of having both in one tool. This is especially helpful when traveling and not wanting to pack a multitude of tools. It took me a few times to get used to wrapping and holding my hair around the wand. Once I mastered this, it was very easy to use. I like how it recommends temps for different hair types. I found that the straightener required me to do a slight turn upwards (not completely straight) to add tension as I pulled my hair thru it. Since my hair is very fine it didn’t hold as tight if I just pulled straight.
I would recommend this product.
