The media could not be loaded.

This is NOT a professional grade blow dryer. It’s incredibly weak and does not have hardly any power at all. The heat setting is low grade. The concentration nozzle is wide and does not help hardly at all. It also flexes against the plastic so hair gets caught constantly if you roll the hair over the dryers barrel while using it.it makes a whining noise while in use. The filter catches hair from the inflow constantly, so I’m always almost ripping my clients hair out if I’m too fast! I’m so incredibly disappointed. I’ve attempted to reach out through Amazon for a return but because this was a package deal I bought, with a curling iron, you can’t get help with one item. DO NOT BUY THIS. It’s absolutely how the old saying goes, if it looks too good to be true it is.

I was replacing a Hot Tools blow dryer that finally bit the dust. The same model was available but this one was less expensive and seemed almost identical. I’m sure it is fine for those with lots of thick or wavy hair, but for my fine straight hair, even the “low” speed is too strong, and nearly blows my hair off the brush. I wish there were a lower speed for the styling portion of my routine. I can’t use the high setting at all, except for “shrinking” the 3M window film that insulates my drafty windows.

  3. Keep it 💯

Very good hair dryer! It does its good job. Sound is little loud in a high level only, but acceptable! Fast dry the hair and won’t give you a too dry feeling. Overall, it is a good product!

This is a great hair dryer, it cut down on my drying time and has 3 different temperature control buttons. It is a bit larger than I am used to but still easy to hold. The attachments are nice, I’ve used the defuser and it helps when I scrunch my hair to make my hair smoother. Even at the low speed setting I get a lot of air, so there’s a lot of power.

Short of getting a Dyson hair dryer, I really wasn’t sure what to get for my salon work. The requirements were that it had to actually get hot, it had to have an easy-to-use cold shot button, it had to have controls that I wouldn’t accidentally change the setting of through normal handling, and it should be well enough made that I not have to get a new dryer every 6-12 months. After getting Amazon search blindness, I finally settled on the HOT TOOLS Professional 1875W Turbo Ceramic Rainbow Hair Dryer.

Sure, the rainbow accent matches my shears, but what really drew me to this dryer was the brand. Hot Tools has been around a while, and I would expect this item to be fairly durable. It has a 7 year warranty, but I haven’t really seen what that claim process looks like. As it is, the unit is lightweight, but feels like it has good build quality. The soft-touch/sueded texture feels nice to the touch, but may not wear well over time. The positioning of the temp and speed controls is great. While the cold shot button is placed really well, I wish it were kind of concave, instead of convex. The air gets sufficiently hot, and dries hair quickly. Oh, and I LOVE the rainbow trim. The dryer overall is gorgeous. At 8′ the cord is great for a salon station, though it may be a bit much for a small bathroom.

As far as the value proposition of this dryer goes, I think it’s quite good. The unit works well, has good controls, and seems to be built to last. Sure, there are cheaper hair dryers, but how many of those do you need to buy before you realize that you should have just bought a better, more expensive one, in the first place? Highly recommended

As another reviewer said, the handle gets scarily hot when used on the hot setting. I assumed it would be a defect with only one of the products, but this is awful. It’s been over 30 days since I purchased the product, so I cannot return. To deal with the manufacturer warranty, I will have to phone the company in Texas. Avoid!!

I purchased this to replace another one (I dropped it too many times!). To my surprise it works just as well and is way quieter than the cheaper conair I was using as a backup. My kiddos have sensory issues and I can now do my hair and sometimes theirs without the ear clutching and freak outs when they hear it. Light weight, reasonable dry time, good hand feel. I love the black/rainbow color I picked:) it fits my “aesthetic”. Would buy again and again, it’s a trusty work horse that does its job!

This hairdryer is lightweight, yet it works well on my long, thick hair. I have no problems with tangles and it is reasonably quiet. It was delivered in it’s original box, which was a little worrisome, but I’ve had no issues.

I was only planning on spending around $30 on a hair dryer. But I wanted a lightweight & fast dryer. I truly love this hair dryer!! 💜 I have really thick hair & it used to take me about 20 minutes to dry my hair with my old $20 hair dryer. Now it takes half the time! It does have a long cord. The comb extension is great. It has a little flexibility to it but also firm so its easy to work with. I think it’s much better than the rigid long comb ones bc its harder to hold ur arm out far. The long not flexible comb extension I had kept breaking until there was no comb left. The ceramic does help fight frizz. It is quieter than my old dryer.👌🏼 The wind power is strong. 💨 And the concentrators make it even better. It is very lightweight for a hair dryer. The color also goes well with John Frieda products. 😊💜 I’ve had Hot Tools curling irons and I really liked them. I’m truly impressed with this Hot Tools dryer too. It’s no longer such a chore & a long process to dry my hair. The time it takes me to get dressed has been decreased. Also, I don’t get so hot & sweaty bc it’s lightweight & I don’t have to hold my arms up as long. If ur debating on buying this product bc of the price, spend the extra money. You’ll be pleased with ur purchase like me! 💯👍🏼
