This is a basic shampoo (haha I know IGK basic?) but it’s just a color-safe glossing shampoo. It’s supposed to keep your hair color for up to 15 washes and give some shine. I didn’t notice the shine element, but it does lather up really good and foamy so make sure your scalp likes the lather. I also didn’t fall in love with it as it doesn’t do what Vegamour or Olaplex does for my hair. For reference, I have super fine hair, but a lot of it (so much I have a big undercut because I get headaches) so my ponytail is thin, but half my head is shaved. I have an oilier scalp and really dry ends (no current color) and this was just eh for. I gave it to my sister who has platinum hair and it was just eh for her too. Not my favorite IGK product but it might work for you.

I have highlighted and colored hair so this is exactly the kind of shampoo I need. This shampoo smells fantastic. The smell reminded me of something I’ve used before, but I can’t remember what. It’s not quite floral, but it lasts for a long time, so that’s a plus. What I didn’t like was how dry it made my hair and how much my scalp itched. I don’t wash my hair every day, and my scalp was still itchy the following day. I have fine hair, but I also use high-end products after the shower to keep it moisturized, and that didn’t help, so for that reason, I wouldn’t use it again. Perhaps if your hair is thicker, it may work better for you.

I love all of IGK’s hair product, so just like I expected, this is a really nice shampoo. It smells amazing and gives really great salon quality results. It help my hair color last longer and my hair always feels so silky and soft afterwards. I just wish it wasn’t so pricey. It is definitely worth the higher tag, but I can’t always afford to get it. So I use it sparingly to try to make it last as long as possible and I hide it from my daughter because she loves IGK products too.

Decent shampoo for the price. Lathers nicely. Product claims it will extend your hair color for 15 washes with it, which actually isn’t a lot when you think about it. My color didn’t seem to fade much so I guess it works but ultimately, really hard to actually tell. But it cleans your hair nice and leaves it manageable.
