I usually don’t write reviews but when you find something that works for you especially when it comes to skincare it’s life changing. I have very oily skin and it’s also very sensitive, this product is perfect for it, it has “micro sponges” someone told me at a spa that sold it one time that absorb the oil and I thought “yeah what a bunch of crap”, but seriously my skin is relatively matte at the end of the day even after mild sweating. You won’t be disappointed. It also has a nice scent. Ooh also my favorite part, this bottle isn’t that big however it lasts me 6-8 months because you only need a small amount, I wear this almost 6-7 days a week. Big plus when you are spending $40 on a product like this, my sister uses the tinted version (don’t know if there is a matte kind) and she loves that one as well, she doesn’t even wear foundation anymore!

I used this moisturizer daily for about 2 years, when all of a sudden I developed an allergy to it. This phenomenon isn’t a new one for me and in fact it’s the reason why I primarily use sensitive skin care products. So I can’t really blame the product. It’s me that’s the problem. I’d say that roughly 15% of all the products that I love so much that they become a part of my daily regime, this happens to. I don’t know why it occurs, yet once it does it’s never been reversed…and I’m no longer able to use the product in question. Which is where I’m at presently with the Image Daily Matte Moisturizer…sadly, I can no longer use it. If anyone reading this knows more about why this occurs, I’d love to learn more about it!
So, my ranking of 5 Stars stands, because this is a very good Moisturizer with some great attributes! But, anyone who’s allergy prone to skin care products might develop problems done the road. Incidentally…my main allergic reaction is itching followed by redness from scratching due to the itchiness.

I’m a first time user and I love this product. I’ve had a lot of problems finding a daily moisturizer that has SPF and that doesn’t cause an allergic reaction or cause breakouts. The consistency going on, to me, is a little runny. But that’s probably because of the way I use it somewhat. But my method yields excellent results…so much so that I can now go makeup-less. That’s a first for me in 50+ years!! I don’t love the scent but I don’t hate it either…it smells like Juicey Fruit gum.
So here’s my foolproof application method. Step 1 is that I use it immediately after washing my face while my skin is still damp. I’d read once that doing so locks in moisture and that you generally get better results if you have dry skin issues so this method does help for that. I, like most other reviewers, have combination skin…but the combinations for me seem to be extreme. Extreme dryness coupled with extremely oily T zone.
Step 2 is that as soon as this dries I followup with tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer, which I didn’t love at first. With the tarte primer I learned that I need to rub it in my hands for a little bit to sort of warm it up…then it applies smoothly. I spend longer than normal rubbing both these in because as I mentioned this moisturizer seems a little runny to me and it needs it. Whereas the primer seems a little ‘unrunny’ sort of thick and pasty and it needs it. But if I do both steps when my skin is a little moist the end result is amazing!!!
I can get by the whole day with my skin staying nicely matte and just generally looking nice with NO MAKEUP!!! Truly amazing! Some have mentioned the price being high,,,but more so for the tinted version I think. This seems reasonably priced to me since I’ve paid twice as much for inferior products. 1 tube for me lasts a very long time. It’s a largish tube that I need to use very little of because of the thinness of its consistency.

I use this product every day it is wonderful for moisturizing and spf. This is especially important for me since I work outside. Image is one of my favorite companies for skin care products. Not a bad one yet!

I am very picky with my sunscreens and have gone through plenty! This one leaves a nice glow without leaving your skin sticky and DOESNT leave a white cast. Just melts into your skin. It does have a slight smell to it but nothing to strong for me. (I’m also sensitive to smells and it doesn’t bother me). Love this sunscreen 🙂

I had first used this product several years ago when I use using retinol to clear my acne because you’re supposed to wear SPF during the day as the retinol makes your skin more sensitive. It never irritated my skin, did not make my acne worse and was the only product I had ever used that kept my oil at bay. Better yet, it actually kept me matte all day. Once I was done with the retinol I stopped using SPF daily altogether but now that I am going to be turning 30 I figured I should do the right thing and start using it again as a preventative anti-aging measure and protect against skin cancer. Naturally this was my first choice to come back to and I can say after all of the years the formula still seems to be the same and works just as well. The scent seems a little stronger maybe, but definitely tolerable and pleasant. I usually don’t write reviews, so when I tell you I promise this product is a game changer – I mean it!!!

I put this sunscreen on in the early am and it protects my face throughout the whole day, no reapplication, including when I swim. I’ve never gotten burned when using it. Also it doesn’t run into my eyes and absorbs quickly when I apply it. I’ve been using it for around 5 years and have no intention of ever switching.
