This is the original version of Infusium, which I have used for decades. Lightweight enough for fine grey hair with some de-tangling effect. I decant into a spray bottle for easier and more consistent application- do not overapply or it will feel a little oily. Highly recommend.

This is light weight, leave in conditioner. I have loose curly hair. It keeps down the frizz and helps with dryness without weighing down my hair. It doesn’t feel like I have goo in my hair.

As a child, my mother used Infusium 23 on my hair every week before blow-drying it straight. While I’ve since switched to a no-heat and naturally curly routine for my hair, I’ve also begun the process of growing my hair as long as possible. And I’ve always remembered that my hair experienced little to no breakage when I was a child, even with the heating element, so I decided to try Infusium again to see how it worked on my natural hair.
I’ve been using it for almost a month, and I can say that it does provide an additional layer of protection against physical damage – such as combing, or the friction caused by my ends rubbing against the clothing on my shoulders/back. It also provides a substantial amount of “slip” when I’m finger-detangling my hair during the week (between wash days).
My typical application of the liquid is either via a spray bottle or a foaming bottle. While it’s not heavy enough for me to use as my sole leave-in, it’s a great product to refresh my curls.
This product does contain two water-soluble silicones, which I tend to avoid in general, but I haven’t experienced any build-up or dryness from them. I do, however, clarify my hair once a month, and wash with a sulfate-free shampoo once a week – so I haven’t tried this product while on a strictly no-poo routine.
The liquid also imparts a subtle yet natural shine, which I appreciate as my hair can often appear to have a matte appearance.
Overall, this is a solid addition to my daily haircare routine. It’s not a showstopper product with bells and whistles, but given that it’s seemingly providing the same level of quality results for me as it did more than 30 years ago? It’s a product that definitely stands the test of time.

I’ve used Infusium since I was a teenager and I got my brother hooked on it too. It’s the only leave-in conditioner that works to tame my crazy hair (which is now getting crazier with pre-menopause symptoms) and makes it soft and shiny. It’s never available in the stores around me and the last time I bought it on Amazon, I bought a bigger bottle from a different seller and it never arrived! Then I used other products for a while, which I didn’t much care for. I got the smaller bottle this time and my experience was fine. It shipped quickly and was packaged properly to prevent leaks.

If you have extremely dry hair, this product is a perfect addition. After shampooing your hair & drying it, liberally apply & comb ‘Infusium’ through your hair & leave-in, & lastly apply a ‘Cholesterol’ conditioning cream to your & leave-in as well. Style as necessary.
